BROOKINGS \u2013 NDSU sophomore\u00a0Ethan Moe<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0destroyed the school record in the 1000m to headline the performances of the Bison men’s track & field team at a pair of meets on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Jim Emmerich Alumni Meet hosted by South Dakota State, Moe broke a 19-year-old NDSU record in the 1000m, running 2:24.70 to shatter Chad Bergan’s previous 2006 mark by 1.42 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redshirt freshman Brooks Turner<\/a><\/dfn> took second in the 60m hurdles at SDSU, clocking a personal-best 7.97 in the prelims and 8.02 in the final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jayden Williams<\/a><\/dfn> and Logan Mathieu<\/a><\/dfn> took third and fourth in the 60m dash, with both finishing in 6.90.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freshman Tyler Milkes<\/a><\/dfn> ran a season-best 22.18 for fourth place in the 200m dash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cullen Curl<\/a><\/dfn> was the top Bison finisher in the 400m dash, taking fifth in 49.67. Carter Elde<\/a><\/dfn> was sixth in 49.70, and Gabe Miles<\/a><\/dfn> was seventh in 49.72.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Jack Johnson Classic hosted by Minnesota, Zack Ramos<\/a><\/dfn> placed third in the shot put at 56-01.75 (17.11m). Jack Packer<\/a><\/dfn> recorded personal-best marks in both throwing events \u2013 58-03.00 (17.75m) for fifth place in the weight throw, and 53-06.50 (16.32m) for fifth place in the shot put.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
