FARGO ND \u2013 The North Dakota State baseball team dropped a 5-4 decision against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in exhibition play on Wednesday night at Newman Outdoor Field in front of 1,908 fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After entering the ninth inning trailing, 5-2, Tate Martin<\/a><\/dfn> lifted his second double of the contest down the left line before Evan Gustafson<\/a><\/dfn> and Aiden Schenk<\/a><\/dfn> walked. Blake Timmons<\/a><\/dfn> kept the late rally going after he connected on two RBI single into center field. However, the RedHawks held off the Bison the rest of the way to earn the 5-4 win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NDSU totaled nine hits as a team with Timmons going 2-of-5 at the plate with two RBI. Colten Becker<\/a><\/dfn> and Martin also contributed two hits and one run each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bison combined to use nine different pitchers with Matt Sargeant<\/a><\/dfn> making the start with two strikeouts over 1.0 innings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
