Ethan Thomas<\/a><\/dfn> led the team and captured two throwing titles at the meet. He claimed the crowns in both the discus (181-2, 55.24m) and javelin (190-7, 58.11m). His mark in the discus improved his No. 2 throw in school history and he now sits No. 48 in the NCAA West Region in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justina Esangbedo<\/a><\/dfn> won the women’s javelin with a throw of 131-3 (40.02m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the track, Malene Kollberg<\/a><\/dfn> was victorious in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 13.63 and moved up to No. 2 on the UND top-10 list with that time. Teammate Tiffanie Magnusson<\/a><\/dfn> was also in the race and clocked a PR of 14.45, which now sits No. 7 in program history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marta Marksa<\/a><\/dfn> won the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 61.47.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooklyn Brouse<\/a><\/dfn> captured the crown in the 800 meters, clocking a time of 2:14.68.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ella Hedman<\/a><\/dfn> was the first Hawk to take the track and won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:05.39.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Towards the end of the meet, UND’s 4×400-meter relay team of Jiri Ceska<\/a><\/dfn>, Jory Vasek<\/a><\/dfn>, P.K. Moore<\/a><\/dfn> and Henry Nelson<\/a><\/dfn> won the title in 3:16.50, which now ranks as the No. 7 time on the UND top-10 list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emily Ash<\/a><\/dfn>, Jerzie Finstad<\/a><\/dfn> and Cruz Megazzini<\/a><\/dfn> also climbed the UND top-10 list in their respective events. Ash cleared a PR height of 12-8 1\/4 (3.87m) and now ranks No. 2 in the pole vault on the UND top-10 list. Finstad had a PR of 11.80 in the 100 meters and moved up to No. 2 in the event in program history. Megazzini climbed from No. 5 to No. 2 in school history in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 21.39.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meet, a number of Fighting Hawks also earned marks that looked like they would be improvements on the UND top-10 list but were not countable by NCAA rule due to the wind being over +4.0 meters\/second. The meet saw wind gusts up to +6.5 meters\/second during some events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

North Dakota will visit Vermillion for the Summit League Outdoor Championships on May 15-17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FARGO, N.D. \u2013 <\/strong>On a windy and hazy day at the Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex on Friday, North Dakota recorded eight event wins and posted seven improvements to the UND top-10 list at the NDSU Tune-Up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
