He moved up to No. 6 all-time at NDSU in the event.<br>\u00a0<br>With Roller&#8217;s title Thursday, the Bison men have now won 13 consecutive Summit League titles in the javelin.<br>\u00a0<br>The Bison men placed 1-3-4 in the javelin, with three North Dakota natives all registering personal-bests. Behind Roller, sophomore\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/peter-dryburgh\/20323\">Peter Dryburgh<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0placed third at 193-2 (58.89m) and freshman\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/zach-lilly\/20356\">Zach Lilly<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0took fourth at 187-3 (57.07m).<br>\u00a0<br><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/kaden-pastian\/20344\">Kaden Pastian<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0was the Summit League runner-up in the hammer throw at 197-3 (60.12m), followed by\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/jack-packer\/20343\">Jack Packer<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0in fourth and\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/thomas-huneke\/20329\">Thomas Huneke<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0in sixth with a significant personal-best of 177-6 (54.12m).<br>\u00a0<br>Senior\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/tyson-mahar\/22165\">Tyson Mahar<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0scored critical team points with a lifetime-best run in the 10,000m, clocking 30:44.86 to place fourth in the meet and rank 10th in NDSU history.\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/jacob-knodle\/22168\">Jacob Knodle<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0took fifth in 30:49.36 for the Bison.<br>\u00a0<br>Through five events on Day 1 of the Summit League decathlon,\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/bryce-enerson\/20326\">Bryce Enerson<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0is in sixth place and\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/cullen-curl\/20322\">Cullen Curl<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0stands eighth.<br>\u00a0<br><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/carter-elde\/20325\">Carter Elde<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0ran 54.21 in the 400m hurdles prelims to advance to Saturday&#8217;s final.<br>\u00a0<br>The meet will continue on Friday and Saturday.<br>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VERMILLION SD \u2013 The North Dakota State men&#8217;s track &amp; field team opened competition at the Summit League Outdoor Championships on Thursday by extending its dominant run in the javelin at the conference meet.\u00a0Sam Roller\u00a0(Thompson, N.D.) captured the Summit League javelin title, throwing a lifetime-best 228-0 (69.50m) for the win.
