Jamestown (JRMC) – Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) welcomes Asia Hamlin, board-certified nurse practitioner, to its specialty clinic team. Her addition expands JRMC\u2019s Advanced Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center care team, where she joins Holli Marquart, NP-C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Hamlin earned her Master of Science in nursing with a specialization as a family nurse practitioner from Maryville University in St. Louis. She completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Aspen University in Aspen, Colorado. Hamlin is board-certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWound care is a rewarding specialty that combines education, connection and seeing progress week after week,\u201d Hamlin said. \u201cI love helping patients heal and feel better about themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With experience in long-term care nursing and a background supporting wound care patients, Hamlin has a passion for providing advanced, patient-focused and specialized care to rural communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWound care is incredibly personalized,\u201d said Hamlin. \u201cEvery patient\u2019s care is different \u2014 even if the wound looks the same as someone else\u2019s. We have to consider the whole person, not just the wound.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The JRMC Advanced Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center treats a variety of complex wounds and conditions, including diabetic and pressure ulcers, arterial and venous wounds, radiation burns and graft failures. In addition to wound care, Hamlin will assist with vein procedures, expanding the scope of services offered. The center is the only specialized wound care facility in the region and was the first in the state to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to welcome Asia to the Advanced Wound Center team,\u201d said Mercede Fiebiger, JRMC specialty clinic manager. \u201cHer addition allows us to expand access to wound care services and continue providing timely, advanced treatment to more patients throughout the region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
