A graveside committal service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 15th at St. Catherine\u2019s Catholic Cemetery. &nbsp;Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Lerud Mathias Funeral Home. &nbsp;An online guestbook will be available at www.lerudmathias.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda Anne Hirsch was born to Archie and Nelda (Fonder) Hirsch in Valley City, ND on February 17, 1949. &nbsp;She was met at home by her older brother Jerry. &nbsp;Linda grew up in Valley City where she attended and graduated from St. Catherine\u2019s School. &nbsp;She later went on to Dakota Business College in Fargo, ND. &nbsp;While in Fargo Linda met the love of her life, William (Bill) Kaber. &nbsp;Bill and Linda were married July 10, 1971, at St. Catherine\u2019s Catholic Church.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda and Bill would go on to have the next two loves of her life, Troy William, in 1973, and Tina Marie, in 1979. &nbsp;They lived in Fargo until 1986 when they moved to Valley City to work for Linda\u2019s parent\u2019s at Valley Hide and Fur, Co. &nbsp;Bill and Linda would later go on to own the business.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda became the mom to lots of kids over the years and they all loved her and she them. &nbsp;They remember her as being strict but fair. \u201cThe greatest hockey mom of all time!\u201d They enjoyed her famous ham sandwiches she made during hunting and racing seasons. &nbsp;Mitchy said, \u201cshe had a smile and laugh you\u2019ll never forget\u201d. &nbsp;Linda loved to cheer on her kids and grandkids in any sports or activities that they participated in. &nbsp;Which included; dirt track racing, hockey, cheerleading, volleyball, wrestling, football, and archery. &nbsp;She was the best and LOUDEST cheerleader!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda and Bill enjoyed spending time together going on drives. They bowled on a league for many years, they had fun snowmobiling, four-wheeling and going on side by side rides. &nbsp;They also enjoyed spending time camping and fishing. &nbsp;Linda loved nice cars and pickups. Especially shiny red or blue ones. &nbsp;She and Bill were lucky enough to own a few over the years. &nbsp;Her red Monte Carlo was a prized possession of hers. &nbsp;Linda enjoyed working in her flower beds all afternoon with her radio on and her dog, Daytona by her side. &nbsp;Linda absolutely loved Christmas and gift giving. &nbsp;Often going overboard but, she always wanted to make it special for her kids and grandkids. &nbsp;Linda worked numerous jobs over the years including; Silverline Boats, Case IH, ITS, cafeteria worker at VCHS, Bridgeview Estates. But, her favorite job was probably being a childcare provider. She cared for many children over the years. &nbsp;Linda loved kids and they made her light up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Left to miss her until they meet again are her loving husband, William (Bill) Kaber, her son, Troy (Katie) Kaber and their children; Noah James Kaber, Paige Kaber, Kaylee Smith, Kaycee Smith, a great-grandson, Rhyatt. Her daughter, Tina (Paul) Drabus and their children McKenzie Current, Kaci Anne Current, and Kristen Drabus, and a bonus son Mitch Charntetzki.<br>Family friend, Michelle VanHal and her children Cael and Kai VanHal &#8211; Deitz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Waiting to greet her in Heaven with loving arms were her parents, Archie and Nelda, and brother Jerry, along with numerous family and friends that passed before her. &nbsp;The family would like to thank the staff at SMP Health-St. Raphael, Mercy Hospital, and Dr. Misty Anderson for the care they provided Linda over the past few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; Please say a prayer for all of those and their families suffering from Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Linda Kaber, age 76, of Valley City, ND, died Tuesday, September 9th at CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City.
