Hawley MN (VCSU) – In the final tournament for the Fall season, the Valley City State University Vikings have a great showing at the Comet Invite, hosted by Mayville State at the Hawley Golf Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the women, Sydney Carlson<\/a><\/dfn> carded a two-day total of 163 (82-81) which was good enough for third. Sadie Neustel<\/a><\/dfn> shot a 174 (90-84) to finish ninth. Winter Oldrock<\/a><\/dfn> was 17th<\/sup> with her 183 (91-92)
Kacie Rexin of the University of Jamestown was medalist with a 150 (74-76).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamestown took team honors finishing ten shots over second place Dickinson State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the men’s side, Zach St. Aubin<\/a><\/dfn> was sixth with a solid two-day total of 149 (70-79). Nick Meisch<\/a><\/dfn> (75-79) and Owen Haase<\/a><\/dfn> (80-74) tied for ninth with a 154. John Renaud<\/a><\/dfn> shot a 160 (83-77) to finish 23rd<\/sup>. Wyatt Meisch<\/a><\/dfn> carded a two-day total of 162 (83-79) to finish tied for 24th<\/sup>. Howard Neustel<\/a><\/dfn> was 42nd<\/sup> with a 175 (89-86). Tony Piccalo<\/a><\/dfn> was 48th<\/sup> with his two-day total of 214 (106-108).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryan Engel of Concordia, Moorhead was the medalist with a two-day total of 140 (70-70).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a team, the Vikings finished tied for tied for third with Jamestown and were just six strokes out of second place. Concordia was the top team, 22 shots ahead of second place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the last meet of the Fall for the Vikings; they will start the Spring portion of the schedule in April.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
