Grand Forks ND (UND) –\u00a0The University of North Dakota soccer team dropped a 2-1 crucial conference contest to Kansas City on Sunday afternoon at Bronson Field.

UND now sits with a 1-4-2 record in league play with five points and\u2014with one final game in Summit League action\u2014are still on the hunt for the final spot in the conference postseason that features the top six teams in quarterfinal competition.

Kansas City struck first in the Sunday affair, taking the 1-0 lead after a goal in the 24th<\/sup>\u00a0minute. The Fighting Hawks fired back in the final few minutes of the first half, as\u00a0Cora Ellermann<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0found the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season, officially tying things up at 1-1. But the Roos took back control in the 81st<\/sup>\u00a0minute, netting a shot for the 2-1 advantage.

Sophomore goalkeeper\u00a0Grace Miller<\/a><\/dfn>\u2014the current Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week\u2014totaled three saves on five shots against in the effort while Ellermann logged the lone goal.\u00a0

North Dakota now turns its sights to the regular season finale on the road against St. Thomas, which is set for 1 p.m. at St. Paul, Minn.
