Jerome Block, 72, passed away November 6, 2025 at SMP Health – St. Raphael Care Center, Valley City, ND under the care of hospice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jerome was born August 1, 1953, in Jamestown, ND, the fourth child of Norbert and Elinore (Edwardson) Block. He was raised and educated in Jamestown, baptized, and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Trinity Lutheran Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At an early age, Jerome decided to take the scenic route through life and became a long haul truck driver, making friends and enjoying many adventures along the way. In 2014, he was diagnosed with ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) and received a kidney transplant on October 16, 2016, but years of ongoing health problems took their toll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jerome is survived by sisters, Linda (Thomas) Ray, Jamestown, Marilyn (Shelby) Flaig, Bismarck, ND, Gloria (Ross) Burkhardt, Glendale, AZ, and Susan Johnson, Fargo, ND; brother, Brian (Tracy) Block, Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert \u201cBob\u201d and Elinore; brothers, Gary, Doug, Roger; and brother-in-law, John Johnson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funeral Service – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Kristi Weber officiating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitation \u2013 One hour before the service at the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
