Robert \u201cBob\u201d McAllister, age 73, of Valley City, ND, died Saturday, November 15th at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND,surrounded by his family.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM in St. Catherine Catholic Church, Valley City, with visitation the hour prior to the service.  He will be laid to rest in the St. Bernard Cemetery, Oriska.  The service will be live streamed, then archived, on a link provided along with his obituary on his tribute page at www.lerudmathias.com.  An online guestbook is available there as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robert \u201cBob\u201d Charles McAllister was born on February 22, 1952, to Earl & Violet (Reberg) McAllister in Valley City, ND.  Bob grew up on a farm near Oriska, ND with his 5 brothers and sisters.  He graduated from Oriska Public School in 1970 and joined the US Navy right out of high school.  Upon his discharge from the Navy, he worked on several construction crews before starting his own business, McAllister Construction.   He retired several years ago but could always be found in his shop creating bird houses, tables, shelves or anything family and friends requested.  Bob and his beloved dog, Lacey, had just returned from a 4,000-mile journey to visit his stepson, Eric, in North Carolina and a couple Navy buddies along the way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bob is survived by his stepson, Eric (Alicia) Wolfgram, Kitty Hawk, NC. He is also survived by his siblings, Jim (Bev), Sanborn, ND; Debbie (Joel) Peterson, Fargo, ND; Connie (Larry) Ochsner, Glyndon, MN; Lori (Pete) Paulson, Valley City, ND and Rick (Wendy) McAllister of Devils Lake, ND.  He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews, and his faithful companion, Lacey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Violet McAllister. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
