Bernard \u201cBernie\u201d Michel, 81, Jamestown, ND passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bernie was born September 26, 1944 in Jamestown, ND to Gerald and Lois (Smith) Michel. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1966 and entered the ND National Guard. He retired as a Staff Sargent in 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bernie married Donna Michel in 1987. He worked at Goodrich, ND State Hospital and Ken\u2019s Auto. \u201cJack of all trades, master of none.\u201d He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and getting together with family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bernie was preceded in death by his wife Donna Michel, parents Gerald and Lois Michel, brother Dale Michel and grandson Cole Kiser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is survived by three daughters, Theresa (Zachery) Lafferty, Barb Michel, both of Jamestown, ND, Lavonne (Cale) Kiser, Enderlin, ND; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; siblings Jerry (Darlene) Michel, Ken (Sharon) Michel, Cheryl (Duane) Haskin, and Dennis (Linda) Michel, all of Jamestown, ND.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 20 at Eddy Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 21 at St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Erik Weber officiating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
