One of Jamestown\u2019s most festive and spirited traditions returns Saturday, March 14<\/strong>, as the 47th Annual Runnin\u2019 O\u2019 the Green<\/a> brings St. Patrick\u2019s Day fun and fundraising to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual event combines a social run with stops at several local establishments, all while raising money for Camp Grassick<\/strong> and other charitable causes. Participants must be at least 21 years old and are required to carry a photo ID during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration will be held Friday, March 13, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Elks Club<\/strong>. On Saturday, participants will gather at Frontier Fort, where the event begins at noon. The first heat<\/strong> is scheduled to start at 2 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration costs $10 for the run, or $30, which includes an event shirt. Shirts can also be ordered through Wildside Creations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route will guide participants through several popular Jamestown locations, including The Fort, Buff, Club 1883, Elks Club, Corner Bar, Jonny B\u2019s, Fred\u2019s Den, The Wooly, All Vets Club, and Shady\u2019s.<\/strong> The festive course encourages participants to dress in green and enjoy the camaraderie and St. Patrick\u2019s Day atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2008, Runnin\u2019 O\u2019 the Green has raised more than $360,000 to support Camp Grassick and the North Dakota Elks Major Project. These funds have helped provide services to individuals with special needs and supported hundreds of cancer patients throughout North Dakota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donations to Camp Grassick may be sent to the Jamestown Elks Club, P.O. Box 990, Jamestown, ND 58402.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
