The Jimmies were led by a spectacular, dominant performance from\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/womens-wrestling\/roster\/emily-novak\/18866\">Emily Novak<\/a><\/dfn>, who took home the first place crown in the 180 pound weight class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is a breakdown of how the Jimmies performed on the mat:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/womens-wrestling\/roster\/emily-novak\/18866\">Emily Novak<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0(180 lbs) &#8211; 1st Place: Novak was absolutely unstoppable, pinning her way through the entire bracket. She dispatched Taylor Gould (0:38) in the quarterfinals, Raycye Fipps (1:27) in the semis, and claimed the championship by pinning Caitlyn Davis in just 1:01.<br>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/womens-wrestling\/roster\/nora-houglum\/18863\">Nora Houglum<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0(131 lbs) &#8211; 2nd Place: Houglum had an outstanding tournament, utilizing her technical prowess to secure second place. She opened with a pair of dominant technical falls over Annie Ye (10-0, 1:23) and Arianna Dominguez (11-0, 1:34). After dropping a tough match to eventual champion Hannah Henderson (12-1), Houglum bounced back in Round 5 to defeat teammate\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/womens-wrestling\/roster\/abby-ewing\/18860\">Abby Ewing<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0via a 10-0 technical fall (1:17) to lock up the runner-up spot.<br>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/womens-wrestling\/roster\/celia-jaeger\/18864\">Celia Jaeger<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0(180 lbs) &#8211; 3rd Place: Jaeger completed a fantastic showing for UJ at 180. After dropping her semifinal match, she bounced back with a 10-0 tech fall over Mali Richardson and then pinned Eliana Eats (1:40) to claim third\u00a0place.<br>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/womens-wrestling\/roster\/abby-ewing\/18860\">Abby Ewing<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0(131 lbs) &#8211; 3rd Place: Ewing showed off her pinning ability on her way to a third-place finish. After an opening-round loss to Hannah Henderson, Ewing rallied with two lightning-fast pins, taking down Arianna Dominguez in just 52 seconds and Annie Ye in 53 seconds. She closed out her tournament against teammate\u00a0<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/womens-wrestling\/roster\/nora-houglum\/18863\">Nora Houglum<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0to secure third.<br>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/womens-wrestling\/roster\/ann-marie-meiman\/18865\">Ann Marie Meiman<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0(145 lbs) &#8211; 4th Place: Meiman started strong with a 7-5 decision in the quarters. After a tough semifinal loss, she secured a pin against Madelyn McLaughlin (3:25) to reach the third place match, ultimately falling in a tight 7-5 decision to finish fourth.<br>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/womens-wrestling\/roster\/leah-willard\/18869\">Leah Willard<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0(160 lbs) &#8211; 4th Place: Willard showed incredible resilience after dropping her opening match.
