The host Miners secured the victory with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, and 25-13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jimmies (6-17, 0-6 GLVC) were led offensively by&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/mens-volleyball\/roster\/chase-hawkinson\/19498\">Chase Hawkinson<\/a><\/dfn>, who put together a strong performance with a match-high 18 kills on an efficient .452 hitting percentage.&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/mens-volleyball\/roster\/ethan-carroll\/19496\">Ethan Carroll<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/mens-volleyball\/roster\/cohen-johnson\/19488\">Cohen Johnson<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;each contributed three kills to the Jamestown effort. Setter&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/mens-volleyball\/roster\/rowan-shaughnessy\/19497\">Rowan Shaughnessy<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;directed the offense, handing out 24 assists while adding two kills of his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Missouri S&amp;T (10-5, 4-2 GLVC) was paced by Nate Meyer, who tallied 12 kills on a .647 attack percentage. Setter Erik Giezycki distributed 36 assists to guide the Miners to a team hitting percentage of .667 for the match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Set 1: Missouri S&amp;T 25, Jamestown 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening set was a tightly contested battle featuring 15 ties and five lead changes. The teams traded points early, with Jamestown building a slight edge. Trailing 12-11, the Jimmies utilized a three-point run, highlighted by a kill from Hawkinson and an attack error from Meyer, to take a 13-11 lead. The back-and-forth action continued until the very end. Down 22-21, Missouri S&amp;T responded with a critical three-point swing, featuring consecutive kills from Camden Seaver, to earn set point at 24-22. The Jimmies fought off one set point with a kill from Hawkinson before a service error ended the frame in favor of the Miners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Set 2: Missouri S&amp;T 25, Jamestown 16<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Missouri S&amp;T took control early in the second set. Tied at 4-4, the Miners went on a four-point run\u2014capped by consecutive kills from Seaver\u2014to build an 8-4 advantage. They expanded their lead further with a three-point burst later in the set, taking a commanding 19-10 lead following a service ace from Meyer and a kill by&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/mens-volleyball\/roster\/ladarius-williams\/19499\">Ladarius Williams<\/a><\/dfn>. Jamestown fought back late, stringing together three straight points, including a service ace by Williams, to cut the deficit to 20-12, but it was not enough to overcome the early deficit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Set 3: Missouri S&amp;T 25, Jamestown 13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third set saw early parity, with Jamestown knotting the score at 8-8 following a three-point run fueled by a kill from&nbsp;<dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/jimmiepride.com\/sports\/mens-volleyball\/roster\/amery-roberts\/19491\">Amery Roberts<\/a><\/dfn>&nbsp;and a service ace by Carroll. However, Missouri S&amp;T answered immediately with a massive six-point surge, highlighted by three kills and two service aces from Zachary Carff, to jump ahead 13-8. The Miners cemented the victory with another significant run\u2014this time a seven-point stretch\u2014that pushed their lead to an insurmountable 21-10 margin.
