Caroline Cleora Nordtvedt age 90, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. Caroline was able to be cared for at her home by her family and friends for short period until she was taken to St. Raphael Nursing Home in Valley City, N.D. where she passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Caroline was born on July 14, 1935 daughter of Guy Simmons and Cecelia (Stampka) Simmons and lived in Jamestown until her death. Caroline was always a strong advocate that a mother should be at home with their children and for the best part of her life she was not only a devout homemaker and home- dresser but a mother. She was also an exceptional cook and her family and friends took great pleasure during the holiday\u2019s to be seated at her table. After her two children graduated, Caroline enjoyed part-time employment at Walsh\u2019s market, Hugo\u2019s and St. John\u2019s Academy as a kitchen\u2019s assistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. who died on September 27, 2005 and her sister-in-law Deanna Simmons. She is survived by her brother, Chuck Simmons; her daughter, Cindy and Les Kendall; her son, Robert; grand-daughter, Arin and fianc\u00e9 Steven; and great grandson, Cassius, all of Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2026 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
