Florence \u201cMarie\u201d Schuster entered her heavenly home on September 6, 2026, at St. Therese of Woodbury. She was born July 22, 1936, to Nicolas and Louise (Steidl) Schuster in Fingal, ND. Shortly after graduating from high school, Marie entered the Benedictine Sisters Monastery in Bismarck, ND. While there, she earned her Master\u2019s in Library Science from Rosary College in Illinois. Because of her commitment to students using library services, she wrote the book: \u201cThe Library-Centered Approach to Learning\u201d. She joyfully served as a librarian in Catholic grade schools and high schools in Bismarck and Dickinson and then at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. She completed the last 20 years of her career at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During her working years, she enjoyed travel abroad including Australia, New Zealand, Spain & Portugal. She loved poetry, music, pizza, and laughter with friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Marie is survived by her brother, Fr. Raymond of San Antonio, TX; her sister, Helen of Woodbury, MN; sisters-in-law, Mary Anne Schuster of Fargo, ND and Mary Schuster of Bristol, TN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Wilbert (Gerty), Fr. Robert, Sr. Irene, Conrad, and Ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funeral will be officiated by her nephew, Fr. Paul Schuster at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fingal, ND on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 10:30am with burial following. In memory of Marie, please send any gifts to your favorite charity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
