Participants will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Explore contemporary slang from across the\u00a0Spanish-speaking world<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn about diverse cultural traditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hear music from popular Hispanic artists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create imaginative, culture-inspired crafts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>About 100 high school students from Valley City High School, Central Cass High School and Lisbon High School are expected to attend the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will also have opportunities to learn more about VCSU and its academic offerings in&nbsp;Spanish. VCSU offers&nbsp;majors in&nbsp;Spanish&nbsp;and&nbsp;Spanish&nbsp;Education, as well as a&nbsp;Spanish&nbsp;minor&nbsp;and a&nbsp;Spanish&nbsp;certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Area high school teachers looking to bring a class to&nbsp;Spanish&nbsp;Day can contact VCSU faculty&nbsp;Luis&nbsp;Betancur&nbsp;at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:luis.betancur@vcsu.edu\">luis.betancur@vcsu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spanish Day is one of several special hands-on visit days that VCSU hosts throughout the year.
