{"id":32366,"date":"2013-11-21T03:46:59","date_gmt":"2013-11-21T09:46:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=32366"},"modified":"2013-11-26T08:19:58","modified_gmt":"2013-11-26T14:19:58","slug":"slow-to-no-progress-on-sewer-work-3rd-ave-sw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=32366","title":{"rendered":"3rd Ave SW Sees Progress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/3rdAvepipe.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-32859\" alt=\"3rdAvepipe\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/3rdAvepipe.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/3rdAvepipe.jpg 600w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/3rdAvepipe-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/3rdAvepipe-262x175.jpg 262w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nov 26, 2013<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday morning a half block of 3rd Street Southwest was open between Historic Franklin and the U.S. Post Office.<\/p>\n<p>With the Jamestown Sanitary Sewer Project, Interstate Engineering reported Friday afternoon that 3rd Street SE is open from 11th Ave SE to Railroad Drive E.<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi Nov 15) &#8211; Two months ago,\u00a0 3rd Ave SW by the Post Office was closed.\u00a0 While it remains closed today, the bore was\u00a0completed Thursday Nov 21 and the casing was being installed under the railroad tracks.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Property owners were\u00a0informed\u00a0that 3rd Ave SW will not get pavement,\u00a0 and they will have to wait until sometime in May of 2014, depending on spring weather.\u00a0\u00a0 One block of 3 Av SW will be gravel for the winter.<\/p>\n<p>The 2nd Street SW bridge is estimated to remain closed until early December, until work on the lift station is completed.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists going to SW Jamestown area west of the river will have to continue to detour, using 2nd Street to 4th Ave SW,\u00a0 north to 1st St,\u00a0 and then west.\u00a0 Use 4th Ave to get into the CSi parking lot thru the backway.\u00a0\u00a0 If you are going to the Recycle Center,\u00a0 you will have to loop around Historic Franklin.<\/p>\n<p>Once the casing and\u00a0sewer pipe is fullly installed,\u00a0\u00a0the 1st Street &amp; 3rd Av SW intersection should be graveled and opened for traffic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nov 26, 2013 On Tuesday morning a half block of 3rd Street Southwest was open between Historic Franklin and the U.S. Post Office.
