BEHIND THIS POTENTIAL SYSTEM&#8230;VERY COLD<br \/>\n\u00a0ARCTIC AIR IS FORECAST TO OVERTAKE THE REGION.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Annual Holiday Dazzle on Main Parade was held Friday evening through Downtown Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Floats were judged at 6:30-p.m., as they lined up in McElroy Park, based on motion, lights, creativity, originality of theme, holiday spirit and music.<\/p>\n<p>Winners were:<\/p>\n<p>Best Dazzle, Home Design Center<\/p>\n<p>Most Original Theme, Stutsman Harley Davidson H.O.G.S.<\/p>\n<p>Most Outstanding Amateur Built, First Community Credit Union<\/p>\n<p>Most Outstanding Civic or Non-profit, Alpha Opportunities, Inc.<\/p>\n<p>Each Trophy Winner, recieves a $100 Cash Award.<\/p>\n<p>An After Parade Party was hosted by the Gladstone Inn &amp; Suites in Jamestown, where refreshments were served, and the Jamestown Choralaires entertained.<\/p>\n<p>The parade was recorded by CSi 10 <a title=\"REPLAY\" href=\"http:\/\/thereplaychannel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">THE REPLAY CHANNEL<\/a>\u00a0 for viewing enjoyment this season.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown Police report that two Jamestown men were taken in custody in connection with an altercation outside an apartment building Thursday which resulted in a third Jamestown man being stabbed.<\/p>\n<p>Detective Sgt. Leroy Gross says the 36 year old victim, was airlifted to a hospital in Fargo from Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment of a stab wound received from the altercation.<\/p>\n<p>The police were called to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center at 4:19 p.m. Thursday after the man took himself to JRMC for treatment of his wound.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was treated and released from the Fargo hospital and returned to Jamestown on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Gross says two men, ages 35 and 26, are in custody after interviewed about the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Gross says there were several witnesses to the incident and they were interviewed.<\/p>\n<p>The names of all three men have not been released, as charges have not been filed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce has gift giving ideas.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Chamber Executive, Felicia Sargeant said, the Chamber has available &#8220;Chamber Checks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She pointed out that residents can bring cash amounts to the Chamber office, which will be converted into checks of various denominations to give, and spend at participating Chamber businesses.<\/p>\n<p>These are &#8220;real&#8221; checks, and can be spent in the amount indicated by the store receipt and change will be returned.<\/p>\n<p>She asks that the checks be made out in smaller denominations so stores will not have to make large amounts of change.<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber office has a list of participating stores.<\/p>\n<p>She added that the Chamber Checks are available year \u2018round.<\/p>\n<p>Also while supplies last, for $10 purchase an Ag &amp; Energy Committee 2014 calendar with photos taken by local individuals.\u00a0 Available at the Chamber office, or the Jamestown DMV Branch.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Valley City (CSi) The Barnes County Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign is running through Christmas Eve. Hoffmann has been a longtime member and director, in both the North Dakota Angus Association and N.D. The National Register of Historic Places is the federal government\u2019s list of properties it considers worthy of preservation and recognition.<\/p>\n<p>White Stone Hill near Kulm in Dickey County was the site of conflict between General Sully\u2019s soldiers and a buffalo hunting camp of Dakota in early September 1863. The nomination includes the core area from this nationally significant conflict. The nomination also includes the stone buildings and structures built by the Works Progress Administration and the monuments that are part of Whitestone Hill State Historic Site at the level of statewide significance.<\/p>\n<p>Edinburg WPA Auditorium was built by the Works Progress Administration in 1938 as an auditorium with style elements from Art Deco and Art Moderne.<\/p>\n<p>Construction of Vikur Lutheran Church in Mountain began in 1884 on land donated by the first pastor, (S\u00e9ra) P\u00e1ll Thorl\u00e1ksson. (AP) &#8211; Bismarck police say tools valued at about $6,500 were stolen from two separate constructions sites along the same road.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police say the thefts occurred sometime between late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Padlocks were cut in both cases to gain access to enclosed trailers.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTools worth about $5,000 were taken from a job site in the 3800 block of Clairmont Road, and about $1,500 in tools were missing at a site in the 3900 block.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Authorities say a Black Friday shoplifter in Grand Forks abandoned a cart full of stolen items and hit a store employee with her car as she sped away from the parking lot. No injuries were reported.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police say the incident happened about 9 a.m. Friday after the Menards employee followed a woman who had walked out of the store without paying for several items. The employee tried to stop her from leaving by blocking the path of her vehicle.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The\u00a0 license plate of the vehicle was turned over to police, who traced the individual. Jack Dalrymple has appointed Langdon-native Wade Mann as director.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Office of Administrative Hearings began in 1991. The agency is part of the executive branch and provides independent administrative law judges to preside as hearing officers over state and local matters.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hoberg was appointed as the agency&#8217;s first director by then-Gov. George Sinner, a Democrat. (AP) &#8211; Two firms have been hired to help design a new city hall in Fargo.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0 City Commissioners approved a plan to have T.L. Stroh Architects of Fargo and HDR Incorporated of Minneapolis to work together on the project.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Terry Stroh says his firm has worked with HDR in the past and the two companies have the same approach to solving problems for their clients.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The downtown building is expected to cost between $10 and $14 million.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The head of the Spirit Lake Tribe says the reservation is getting seven new law enforcement agents from a branch of the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Chairman Russ McDonald tells WDAZ-TV that the move is temporary but he hopes it&#8217;s the first step in a long-term investment on the northeastern North Dakota reservation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The additions come after ongoing complaints about child welfare problems at Spirit Lake. The tribe says it doesn&#8217;t have enough officers to investigate child abuse claims.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 McDonald says the BIA plans a study to see if the agents should be permanently assigned and whether any more help is needed on the reservation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Williams County officials say that thousands of people have accessed the North Dakota county&#8217;s interactive maps since they went online five months ago.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Figures show that the maps have been called up more than 8,400 times since July, when the county updated its Ersi software and the company began offering a free Geographical Information Systems, or GIS, viewer.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The maps show information on area parcels, zoning and subdivisions. The information is updated on a weekly basis with details generated from numerous county departments.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The site also uses state information to locate oil rigs, salt water disposal sites and other wells.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The maps are available on the county&#8217;s website and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.williamsnd.com\/\">www.williamsnd.com<\/a> .<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In world and national news&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FREMONT, Ohio (AP) &#8211; The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a motorist who was traveling at more than 125 miles an hour has been charged with vehicular homicide after his car struck a van on Thanksgiving, killing a 77-year-old couple. A patrol spokeswoman says Andrew Gans is charged in\u00a0Thursday \u00a0night&#8217;s crash on the Ohio Turnpike. He suffered injuries that are not life-threatening and was hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation. Gans will be taken to jail following his release.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) &#8211; One shopper in Oregon in the early morning hours Friday said it&#8217;s &#8220;exciting&#8221; to &#8220;be out in the midst of all of it.&#8221; Ricki Moss was among those looking for bargains on what&#8217;s known as Black Friday. It&#8217;s being called &#8220;Gray Friday&#8221; by some, since it started creeping into Thanksgiving itself. (AP) &#8211; Even people who can&#8217;t afford to buy anything are able to pick out some Christmas gifts on Friday. This is the 17th year in which locations have been set up around Rhode Island for people to give away a coat, or get one for free. One woman who&#8217;s unemployed picked up four coats for friends as gifts. It&#8217;s Rhode Island&#8217;s twist on Buy Nothing Day, a statement against consumerism that started in Canada and is now marked on the day after Thanksgiving in some places in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 TORONTO (AP) &#8211; The brother of embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says the siblings will host an online show. Doug Ford says the purpose of the show is &#8220;to get their message out&#8221; and not have it be &#8220;twisted by the media.&#8221; The mayor has been embroiled in scandal since admitting to smoking crack. Toronto&#8217;s City council recently stripped him of most his powers after he refused to resign. (AP) &#8211; A six-month-old pit bull that was buried under a pile of rubble for more than a week following a tornado has been coaxed to freedom with hot dogs, and reunited with his owner. Jacob Montgomery, a member of the Illinois National Guard, was separated from the dog, Dexter, when the November 17th tornado destroyed his third-floor apartment in the Illinois community of Washington. Nine days later, a neighbor who was looking for his missing cat sent Montgomery a Facebook message, saying Dexter had been found, partially buried in debris where the building used to stand.
