Proceeds from the gift will establish an endowment in memory of Sharon Clancy.<\/p>\n<p>The earnings from the endowment will sponsor a scholarship for a VCSU student, in the STEM fields, e.g., Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. In addition, the estate earmarks dollars to the V-500 scholarship fund at the university.<\/p>\n<p>Alison Kasowski, assistant director of annual giving, says &#8220;It will have a great effect on this year\u2019s scholarship allocation and recruitment of students.
