News Sept 6, 2012) &#8212; Jamestown Police is looking for a man who stole a car and broke into several unlocked cars early Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Police Det. Sgt. Leroy Gross said the crimes happened around the 300 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast.<\/p>\n<p>The man allegedly stole a car with the keys left in the vehicle, which became stuck in the alley of the 300 block of Fourth Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect broke into five unlocked cars and stole a laptop computer valued at $300 plus a set of keys.<\/p>\n<p>A vehicle owner approached the suspect outside and the suspect raised his arm and told the victim he had a gun.<\/p>\n<p>The victim did not pursue the suspect.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is described as in his early- to mid-20s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt allegedly stole a car with the keys left in the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information is asked to call Jamestown Police at 252-2414.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Sept 5, 2012) &#8212; The Jamestown Police Department is warning Jamestown residents of a high risk registered sex offender who has moved to Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>The report says 57-year-old David Lynn Meador is living in Room #2 at the Starlite Motel.<\/p>\n<p>He is a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, with hazel eyes, and brown hair.<\/p>\n<p>He has been assigned a High Risk Assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee of the Office of the Attorney General.<\/p>\n<p>Meador was convicted of possessing child pornography in Kentucky in January, 2003.<\/p>\n<p>In 1994, he was convicted of 20 counts of rape, sexual abuse and sodomy of three young girls from 1990 to 1994 in Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>Meador is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court.<\/p>\n<p>This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor, should this information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender.<\/p>\n<p>Attempts to harass, intimidate, or threaten these offenders, their families, landlords, or employers, will be turned over for prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>Printed handouts of Meador\u2019s photo and demographics are available at the Jamestown Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>More information on registered offenders is available on the Attorney General\u2019s web site:<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sexoffender.nd.gov\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>http:\/\/www.sexoffender.nd.gov\/<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Update\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) \u2014 The Barnes County Municipal Airport in Valley City is hosting the &#8220;Wings &amp; Wheels Airshow,&#8221; <strong>Saturday September 8, 2012.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Airshow Co-Director, Lori Jury said there will be military and static aircraft displays, plus, and evening outdoor bbq dinner served.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Jury, on City Matters, updated by saying the dinner has been sold out with about 600 tickets having been sold.<\/p>\n<p>Airplane rides will also be available.<\/p>\n<p>Those attending will be treated by sky-divers from Fargo, opening the show.<\/p>\n<p>Aircraft performers include\u2026award winning Pilots Matt Younkin, and Warren Pietsch, along with Jim &#8220;Fang&#8221; Maroney, Toby McPherson, Rex Hammarback, and Jarrod and Paul Lindemann.<\/p>\n<p>McPherson, from Page, North Dakota, flies the P-51 Mustang, which he says won World War II for the allies.<\/p>\n<p>Barnes County Airport Authority Chairman, Denny Helland said there will be a &#8220;Night Air Show,&#8221; beginning that evening at 9:30.<\/p>\n<p>He added the last air show in Valley City was in the early 1980\u2019s when the new runway at that time was dedicated.<\/p>\n<p>Plans include a fireworks display, and entertainment by the band &#8220;Past Due.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On site concessions will also be available.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Other ctivities include: A fireworks display, Military and Static Aircraft Displays, a Children\u2019s Play Area, On site concessions\/Beer Garden, and a helicopter ride.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s airshow is being dedicated to the memory of local aviators Larry Lindemann and Bob Beyer.<\/p>\n<p>Lindemann served as the manager of the Barnes County Municipal Airport for 27 years from 1985-2012. He passed away March 17, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Beyer was appointed to the Barnes County Municipal Airport Authority in 1976, serving as chairman for eight years.<\/p>\n<p>He retired in 2009, and passed away in 2011. (AP) &#8211; A Utah man working in the North Dakota oil fields is being treated at a Minnesota burn center after an oil rig explosion.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mountrail County Sheriff Ken Halvorson says 29-year-old Jeffery Kinkaid, of Nephi, Utah, apparently became wedged beneath a burning tank and suffered burns on about 90 percent of his body in the incident Tuesday at a Hess Corp. site southwest of Stanley.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The cause of the blast was not immediately determined.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The U.S. Department of Agriculture has<br \/>\ndeclared an agricultural disaster for some parts of North Dakota<br \/>\ndue to the drought.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Jack Dalrymple and North Dakota&#8217;s congressional delegation announced that Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack notified them of the declaration on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The declaration makes farmers and ranchers in 16 counties in the state<br \/>\neligible for federal assistance because of damaged crops.<\/p>\n<p>Stutsman and Barnes Counties are included in the declaration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Some Upper Midwest farmers who thought<br \/>\nthey caught a break when the federal government eased crop<br \/>\ninsurance rules for land hit by prolonged flooding are finding it<br \/>\nisn&#8217;t as easy to cash in as they first thought.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The &#8220;prevented planting&#8221; provision pays farmers if they can&#8217;t<br \/>\nplant due to extreme weather like flooding.<\/p>\n<p>A new rule for the &#8220;prairie pothole&#8221; region of the Dakotas, Montana, Minnesota and Iowa addresses multiple-year disasters &#8211; essentially letting<br \/>\nfarmers collect as long as they had planted a crop on the land at<br \/>\nleast once in the past four years.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 But there also are other provisions.<\/p>\n<p>The Risk Management Agency recently published memorandums clarifying rules, and some farmers aren&#8217;t meeting them.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Members of North Dakota&#8217;s congressional delegation are urging<br \/>\nthe RMA to address the issue.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0FORT YATES, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Florida real estate tycoon who owns a<br \/>\ncontroversial bison ranch in the Dakotas is selling a separate<br \/>\ncattle ranch.<\/p>\n<p>Maurice Wilder&#8217;s 12,000-acre Wilder Cattle Ranch is to be sold at<br \/>\nauction on Sept. 14. Auctioneer Adam Karrels says he is not aware<br \/>\nof any plans to sell the 35,000-acre bison ranch that straddles the<br \/>\nNorth Dakota-South Dakota border.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Relations between Wilder and ranchers in the Dakotas have been<br \/>\nstrained for years.<\/p>\n<p>The bison ranch has sparked complaints and<br \/>\nlawsuits over animals allegedly running loose and causing problems<br \/>\nfor neighbors.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, authorities impounded more than 3,000 of Wilder&#8217;s bison after reports of starving animals.<\/p>\n<p>Wilder paid $57,000 for feed and expenses after the impoundment ended and took about 850 bison to auction.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D.
