Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — A kitten was successfully pulled from a storm drain in Jamestown yesterday.<\/p>\n

The call at about 12:49 p.m. was to the area in the 600 block of 25th<\/sup> Street Southwest, near the Hong Kong Buffet.<\/p>\n

After about and hour and a half the wild kitten was rescued with the help of the Jamestown Street Department and Jamestown Police.<\/p>\n

Once pulled to safety, the little feline was taken by Jamestown Animal Control Officer, Becky Johnson to Dr. Dawn\u2019s Pet Stop in Jamestown for evaluation, and shots.<\/p>\n

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) \u2014 The 2nd<\/sup> Act Community Theater in Jamestown is in rehearsals for the upcoming production of Neil Simon\u2019s “The Odd Couple”<\/strong> September 20, 21, and 22, 2012 at the Jamestown Arts Center.<\/p>\n

On Thusrday\u2019s (Sept 13, 2012) WAYNE BYERS SHOW on CSi 2, 2nd ACT Director Lori Dorr said the dinner theater will be each evening starting with dinner at 6-p.m., and the play at 7-p.m. On Saturday the 22nd<\/sup> there will be a matinee performance at 2-p.m.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the dinner theater are $20 for Arts Center members and $25 for non-members.<\/p>\n

The tickets for the Saturday matinee play-only performance are $7 for Arts Center members and $10 for non-members.<\/p>\n

She said the Friday the 21st<\/sup> tickets are going quickly, however each performance traditionally has brisk ticket sales, so she suggests making reservation early.<\/p>\n

Ms. Dorr said, the leads in The Odd Couple are, Ben Rogers who plays Oscar Madison, and Reggie Von Beekum who plays Felix Unger.<\/p>\n

The roles which are similar to the characters in the Neil Simon play, and television series of the same name, with the production closer to the Broadway play, and movie, written by Neil Simon.<\/p>\n

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The Buffalo Mall is having a FALL-Back..To School Fashion Show, on Saturday September 15, 2012.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week on The Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Trendsetters Modeling spokesperson, Mary Schwartzkopf said, participants will model fashions from various Buffalo Mall merchants.<\/p>\n

She added the show will incorporate youth and adult models.<\/p>\n

The show begins Saturday at 2-p.m., and should go for about 40-minutes.<\/p>\n

Ms Schwartzkopf pointed out that this week is Fashion Week, in New York City, so the mini condensed Fashion Day Show, will be in Jamestown at the Buffalo Mall.<\/p>\n

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Spet 13, 2012) — The Southeast Jamestown Regional DUI Task Force participated in the Regional DUI Task Force program in NorthDakota.<\/p>\n

They<\/p>\n

<\/strong>made 6<\/strong> driving under the influence arrests, 104 other significant arrests and made a total of 241enforcement contacts during the recent unified saturation patrol effort. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

This task force began on October 1, 2010 in order to take significant steps towards reducing alcohol-related crashes and fatalities across the state.<\/p>\n

In the Southeast Jamestown Region, fifteen law enforcement agencies participated in the fourth quarter of this program.<\/p>\n

By working together to create high visibility enforcement,early results show a positive impact on deterring motorists from drinking and driving.<\/p>\n

During the fourth quarter enforcement period, which was conducted from August 17-September 3, 2012, there was one crash and one impaired driving fatality in the region.<\/p>\n

These statistics emphasize the importance of enforcement and saturation patrols in protecting motorists on North Dakota\u2019s roadways.<\/p>\n

Eighty-three percent of all law enforcement agencies currently participate in the DUI Task Force across North Dakota.<\/p>\n

This program is intended to save lives by reducing alcohol-related fatalities and car crashes.<\/p>\n

The Southeast Jamestown Regional DUI Task Force includes the following agencies: NDHP, Eddy, Foster, Griggs, Stutsman, Barnes, Logan, McIntosh, LaMoure Sheriff\u2019s Departments, and Carrington, Jamestown, Valley City,\u00a0 Kulm, Oakes Police Departments.<\/p>\n

Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) \u2013 Valley City voters on November 6, 2012, will vote on an Ordinance during a Special Election.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the Valley City Commission will vote on whether to approve a Resolution for the Special Election, for an Advisory Vote.<\/p>\n

The Ordinance would Amend, Update and Re-enact the Existing 1% City Sales Tax for an Additional 10 year term from January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2029, with the Dedication of Proceeds to Remain Unchanged.<\/p>\n

Under law, the City of Valley City is required to provide for any extension of the City Sales Tax, and the specifics.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple has directed all state government agencies to fly the U.S. and state flags at half-staff in honor of the victims of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.<\/p>\n

The attack by extremists on Tuesday killed four State Department employees, including the American ambassador to Libya, and wounded three others.<\/p>\n

Dalrymple’s directive is in accordance with one from President Barack Obama.<\/p>\n

It is in effect until sunset Sunday Sept. 16, 2012.<\/p>\n

Dalrymple also is encouraging state residents to fly their flags at half-staff<\/p>\n

until then.<\/p>\n

Flags in North Dakota are to be at half-staff on Friday for a second reason – former astronaut Neil Armstrong is being buried that day.<\/p>\n

\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) – An East Grand Forks, Minn., man has pleaded
\nguilty in what authorities say was a deadly synthetic drug ring in
\nnortheast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Twenty-seven-year-old Scott Anthony is the 10th person charged
\nin what federal prosecutors say was a Grand Forks, N.D.-based
\nconspiracy to produce and deal synthetic psychedelic drugs.<\/p>\n

They led to the deaths of two teenagers and the hospitalization of at
\nleast five others this summer.
\nAnthony and four others have accepted plea deals.<\/p>\n

They’re expected to get reduced sentences.<\/p>\n

The man alleged to be the ringleader, Andrew Spofford of Grand Forks, and four others have pleaded not guilty and are scheduled for trial this fall on charges that could land them in prison for 20 years or more.<\/p>\n

\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The state-owned Bank of North Dakota is making low-interest disaster loans available to farmers and ranchers dealing with drought.<\/p>\n

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says producers statewide are eligible for the loans.<\/p>\n

Goehring, Governor Jack Dalrymple (DAHL’-rimp-ul) and Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem (STEHN’-juhm) make up the Industrial Commission, which oversees the bank.

\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A group of North Dakota defense attorneys
\nbelieve that stealing $500 shouldn’t mean a felony charge.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bismarck attorney Paul Myerchin is a spokesman for the North
\nDakota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Myerchin says the group wants to raise the threshold for a
\nfelony theft charge to $1,500.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A person would have to steal at least $1,500 worth of goods or
\nservices to be charged with a felony crime.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Right now, a person who steals more than $500 can be charged
\nwith a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Myerchin says the $500 threshold has been in place for more than
\n30 years. He says the figure would be more than $2,000 if it were
\nadjusted for inflation.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Legislature may be asked to make the change.<\/p>\n

\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota National Guard soldiers who
\nspent a year on a peacekeeping mission in Kosovo have returned to
\nthe state.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The 55 members of the Bismarck-based 112th Aviation Regiment
\narrived at in North Dakota Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The soldiers returned to Bismarck by bus following stops in Oakdale, Minn., and the North Dakota cities of Fargo and Jamestown.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The soldiers helped organize and coordinate air missions in
\nKosovo during their tour of duty.<\/p>\n

\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The military says a change of command is set
\nfor North Dakota Army National Guard’s largest unit will change
\nthis weekend.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Col. Lannie Runck will step down as commander of Fargo’s 141st
\nManeuver Enhancement Brigade unit on Saturday. Col. Giselle Wilz
\nwill take over the command.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Runck plans to retire later this year.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The military says Wilz is the first woman in the North Dakota
\nNational Guard to achieve the rank of “full bird” colonel.

\nU.S. Highway 81, and through Nov. 11 to the west of the highway.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hunters are urged to use caution so they don’t shoot any
\nendangered whooping cranes, which sometimes migrate with sandhills.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 North Dakota’s two-day youth waterfowl season is this weekend.
\nLicensed resident and out-of-state youths age 15 and younger can
\nhunt ducks, geese, coots and mergansers statewide.<\/p>\n

\nand players met separately in New York on Thursday.

\nplayers Sunday if a new labor deal isn’t reached by then.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Penguins captain Sidney Crosby isn’t optimistic the season will start on
\ntime and says he and other players will consider playing overseas
\nif they are locked out.<\/p>\n

\nand the owners want to bring that number down as far as perhaps 47
