Jamestown (CSi) The search continues for a missing Jamestown woman, and the Police Department is still asking for the public\u2019s help in locating 78 year old Ruby Grenz<\/strong> of Jamestown, who has not been seen since about 5-p.m., Tuesday (Feb 11, 2014).<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

As of Friday morning,\u00a0 Grenz had not been located.<\/p>\n

Edinger says the Highway Patrol had an aircraft in the search Thursday, but had to land because of poor visibility. Authorities were continuing the ground search south of Jamestown.<\/p>\n

The Civil Air Patrol is expected to conduct an air search when visibility improves.<\/p>\n

Captain Gary Peterson says, it\u2019s been determined that Grenz did not withdraw any money from her bank account.<\/p>\n

A check at McDonald\u2019s Thursday morning, a stop she frequently made, and at the Buffalo Mall, where she likes to walk, turned up no signs of Grenz.<\/p>\n

Peterson added, in addition to Jamestown Police, other agencies involved in the search include: The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the Stutsman County Taskforce, and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers returned to the areas that had previously been searched and searched those spots again as part of a more systematic approach.<\/p>\n

He says, law enforcement is covering streets, alleys, back streets and parking lots for any signs of the vehicle, she was last seen driving, a silver 2005 Dodge Caravan minivan <\/strong>with North Dakota license plates <\/b>HNW560<\/strong>.<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

Peterson says there is a Hawaiian lei hanging from the rearview mirror. He says authorities are in contract with family members, as well.<\/p>\n

Grenz was last seen at 5-p.m. leaving the Second Avenue Salon, where she had an appointment.<\/p>\n

Peterson said police were called at 10:22 p.m. Tuesday by one of Grenz\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s daughters, who had stopped by Grenz\u2019s home to see if she was OK and found she wasn\u2019t there.<\/p>\n

Grenz is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 138 pounds and wears glasses with brown and blue frames. She was last seen wearing a rust-colored fleece Columbia coat, a red sweater and brown pants. Peterson says Grenz had gotten her hair permed at Second Avenue Salon during her appointment there.<\/p>\n

Peterson says Grenz gets confused and disoriented due to medication she is taking, adding that does not like to drive at night or on the highway.<\/p>\n

Peterson adds that the coat Grenz was wearing isn\u2019t suitable to wear in cold temperatures.<\/p>\n

Police are asking residents to look around their streets and neighborhoods to see if there is a minivan matching Grenz\u2019s vehicle description.<\/p>\n

Anyone who might have seen Grenz or a vehicle matching the silver 2005 Dodge Caravan should call the Jamestown Police Department at<\/p>\n

Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi) On February 13th<\/sup>, weather conditions caused poor driving conditions in the Southeast Region of North Dakota. Strong winds, coupled with some freshly fallen snow, caused visibility issues in the rural areas, especially between Valley City and Jamestown. In the Fargo\/Moorhead metro area, frost, blowing snow and exhaust condensation caused ice covered roads.<\/p>\n

Interstate 94 was closed from Valley City to Jamestown in both directions from approximately 4:30 am until 8:00 am. The roadway was closed because of visibility issues and vehicles blocking the traveled portion of the roadway.<\/p>\n

In all, NDHP troopers investigated thirteen Property Damage Only crashes between 3:00 am and 11:00 am region wide. Two of these crashes occurred on the Red River Bridge, eastbound, at approximately 10:45 am. Both were property damage only crashes. The NDHP investigated one of the crashes (a sideswipe crash) and the Minnesota State Patrol investigated the other crash (a rollover).<\/p>\n

In addition, twelve passenger vehicles, one pickup pulling a horse trailer and seven commercial motor vehicles were towed from the ditches and medians of Interstate 29 and Interstate 94 during the morning hours.<\/p>\n

Bismarck (CSi) North Dakota airport passenger numbers continue to show substantial growth, with January 2014 numbers increasing by 9% over the year before.<\/p>\n

Western North Dakota airports in Dickinson and Williston lead the way in passenger increases at 177% \u00a0and 39% respectively.<\/p>\n

Hector International in Fargo showed an increase of almost 4,000 passenger over January of 2013.<\/p>\n

Top domestic destinations for North Dakota passengers include Las Vegas, followed by Phoenix, Denver, and Orlando.<\/p>\n

Jamestown boardings in January 2014 were 135, down 39.7% from January 2013.<\/p>\n

In January 2012 Jamestown Boardings were 599.<\/p>\n

(AP) – A Dakotas-based health care system has granted hospital-admitting privileges to doctors at North Dakota’s sole abortion provider, bringing the Fargo clinic in compliance with a new state law. In a statement to The Associated Press yesterday, Sanford Health says physicians at the Red River Women’s Clinic are credentialed at its hospital in Fargo.<\/p>\n

\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A woman says she will plead guilty in the stabbing death of a man on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Morning Star Brown is charged in federal court with second degree murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. Authorities say she stabbed Jarrett Two Bear in the chest during an argument on March 3.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Two Bear died while en route to a Bismarck hospital.
\n\u00a0

WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) – Fifteen workers were evacuated as a precaution from the site of an out-of-control oil well in northwestern North Dakota.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 McKenzie County Emergency Manager Jerry Samuelson\u00a0says \u00a0no fire or explosion occurred at the Whiting Petroleum site five miles southwest of Watford City late Thursday afternoon. But he says oil and water blew a plume from the well until the company was able to divert the flow into nearby storage tanks.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 State Health Department environmental geologist Kris Roberts says the volume of well fluids involved wasn’t immediately known. He says an inspector was to be at the scene today.<\/p>\n

\u00a0MINOT, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Supreme Court has upheld the decision by its disciplinary board to suspend a Minot judge for delays in deciding a divorce case.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The court ruled Thursday that North Central District Judge Richard Hagar should be suspended for one month beginning in April. He was ordered to pay more than $3,700 in court costs.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Judicial Conduct Commission had previously censured Hagar for “failing to hear and decide judicial matters promptly, efficiently and fairly.” That ruling came eight days before Hagar heard the divorce case, which wasn’t decided until nearly 10 months later.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hagar argued there was no wrongdoing in the divorce case and a suspension would place an undue burden on his colleagues and citizens in the district.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) – The presiding judge of the North Central Judicial District in North Dakota is retiring after a long career.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minot-based Judge William McLees says he’ll step down at the end of June. He was elected a district judge in 1994 after serving as a county judge since 1983. He was re-elected in 2000, 2006 and 2012.

\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The federal government is setting aside $35 million over three years to help landowners conserve wetlands and grasslands in the five-state Prairie Pothole Region.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hoganson came up with the idea for public digs more than a decade ago and pitched it to state tourism officials. He says the digs have become popular, drawing thousands of people from 26 states and several foreign countries.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This year’s digs begin in late June at Pembina Gorge. Other digs are planned in the Bismarck area and in western North Dakota.

\u00a0MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – A new report finds selling beer and wine on game days has not caused a rise in rowdy behavior at the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium. The report shows that the number of alcohol-related incidents at the football stadium was lower in 2013 than 2010 – two years before alcohol sales began. The report found that 59 alcohol-related incidents were reported in the 2013 season, compared with 77 in 2010.<\/p>\n

The four-time Olympic medalist had to withdraw and later announced his retirement from competition after suffering a back injury. Plushenko has undergone 12 surgeries over the years and was injured in practice the day before the short program.
