Jamestown (CSi) The 33rd<\/sup> Annual El Zagal Mystic Fish Fry is on Friday March 21, 2014, from 4:40-p.m., to 7:30-p.m. at the Gladstone Inn & Suites Banquet Room<\/p>\n

On Wednesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, spokesmen Craig Mehlhaff, and Brent Olson said proceeds support children\u2019s programs, and operations of the local organization.<\/p>\n

Tickets are adults $15, Children 6-12 year old $5, and six and under will be admitted free.<\/p>\n

Tickets are available from any El Zagal Mystic member or at the door.<\/p>\n

Mehlhaff said the menu will consist of cod fish fillet, parsley potato, baked beans, with buns, ice cream, and coffee milk and Coke for a beverage.<\/p>\n

The event supplies include about 350 pounds of cod, as between 500 and 600 portions are expected to be served.<\/p>\n

The organization thanks Andrea & Carl Huus owners of Shady’s for providing the use of their kitchen, and Banquet Rooms, for the annual fish fry.<\/p>\n

\u00a0MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – A college student pulled from a house fire in North Dakota by a roommate has died at a Minneapolis hospital.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The parents of Matthew Heisler, of Lakeville, say their 21-year-old son died Tuesday at Hennepin County Medical Center. Authorities in Grand Forks, N.D., say the fire Sunday in an off-campus house at the University of North Dakota was accidental, caused by unattended food left cooking on a stove.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Officials say roommate Ryan Nelson came home to a smoke-filled house, pulled Heisler out and performed CPR. The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the 21-year-old roommate was treated at the hospital for smoke inhalation and released.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jared and Cheryl Heisler say that their son’s organs have been donated in accordance with his wishes. Heisler was a graduate of Lakeville North High School.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Airline boardings in North Dakota last month surpassed 100,000, setting a record for February.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The state Aeronautics Commission says 100,999 passengers boarded planes at North Dakota’s eight large airports last month, up 8 percent over the year.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The airports in Dickinson, Williston, Fargo and Grand Forks all set records for the month. Williston’s boardings were up 35 percent over the year and Dickinson’s were up 171 percent. Both cities are in the booming western oil patch.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Great Lakes Airlines pulled out of Devils Lake and Jamestown at the end of January, but SkyWest Airlines is to begin service to those cities\u00a0on June 5, 2014.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – An overhaul of the runways at Bismarck’s airport will begin this year.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The airport’s main runway will undergo mill and overlay work to ensure that the surface lasts between three and five more years.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Airport manager Greg Haug says most airlines will use the cross-wind runway while the primary one is under repair in September.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Haug says three Allegiant flights will have to be canceled during the 11 days that the repairs will last because the alternate runways are not strong enough to handle those airplanes.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The main runway has significant cracking, signs of pavement failure and differential vertical movement.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Upgrades to the cross-wind runway could begin in 2015. This runway is expected to be strengthened and possibly widened.<\/p>\n

\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A state health official says cleanup of an oil train derailment on the outskirts of a small southeastern North Dakota town “is all but complete.”
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Federal investigators determined that 400,000 gallons of oil was lost in December when a BNSF train derailed and caught fire near Casselton.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 State Environmental Health Chief Dave Glatt (glaht) says regulators inspected the site Wednesday. He says about 10,000 tons of dirt and other material has been removed from the crash site.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Glatt says contractors now have permission to begin backfilling the site with new soil.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Glatt says the state will be monitoring groundwater at the site for at least two more years.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Only a little more than half of the hunters who went in search of a deer during last fall’s gun season in North Dakota found success.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Game and Fish Department says hunters killed about 28,600 deer during the 2013 season, for a success rate of 55 percent. That was down from 59 percent in 2012 and well below the long-term average of 70 percent.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hunter success for antlered white-tailed deer was 62 percent, and for antlerless whitetails 55 percent. Mule deer buck success was 82 percent. No mule deer doe licenses were issued.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Game and Fish is determining recommendations for licenses for the 2014 season. The state issued only 59,500 licenses last year – a 30-year low. That was due to a decline in the deer population.<\/p>\n

\u00a0SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – An attorney for the man charged with killing the 2-year-old son of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson last fall says prosecutors have been too slow to provide relevant medical records.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Defense attorney Tim Rensch wants a judge to order prosecutors to speed up the release of medical information including CT scans and digital images of injuries suffered by Tyrese Ruffin.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prosecutor Tom Wollman says any delays in the release of the medical information aren’t intentional.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rensch says he needs the information to adequately defend 28-year-old Joseph Patterson, who faces an October trial on several charges including second-degree murder.

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Federal Reserve is reaffirming its plan to keep short-term interest rates low to help support the economy. But it’s no longer mentioning a specific unemployment rate that might lead it eventually to raise rates. Instead, the Fed says it will monitor “a wide range of information” on the job market, inflation and the economy before approving any rate increase. It also says it will cut its monthly long-term bond purchases by another $10 billion because it thinks the economy is strong enough to support further improvements in the job market.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 KIEV, Ukraine (AP) – Ukraine says it’s drawing up plans to withdraw its troops from Crimea, where Russia is steadily taking formal control. A government official says Ukraine will seek U.N. support to turn Crimea into a demilitarized zone as it seeks to relocate its armed forces to the mainland. Ukraine’s military is heavily outnumbered in Crimea. Today Russian-speaking troops seized control of Ukraine’s naval headquarters and detained a Ukrainian navy commander.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 WASHINGTON (AP) – The Obama administration is venting its anger at criticism of President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry by Israel’s defense minister. The State Department says Kerry called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (neh-ten-YAH’-hoo) today to protest recent remarks by Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon (MOH’-shuh YAH’-uh-lohn). He had accused the Obama administration of being weak on Iran and questioned its commitment to Israel’s security.<\/p>\n

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 WASHINGTON (AP) – Cancer patients relieved that they can get insurance coverage because of the new health care law may be disappointed to learn that some the nation’s best cancer hospitals are off-limits. An Associated Press survey found examples coast to coast. Only four of 19 nationally recognized comprehensive cancer centers that responded to AP’s survey said patients have access through all the insurance companies in their state exchange.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LOS ANGELES (AP) – The star of Animal Planet’s “My Cat from Hell” is heading to Oregon to help a cat named Lux who clawed at a baby and cornered a family in a bedroom. Jackson Galaxy says cats don’t turn on their families for no reason. The cat behavior expert says it could be a chemical imbalance, environmental stress, or because the animal was kicked. He says he’s also seen cats act out like Lux because of a tooth abscess, a brain tumor, hyperthyroidism or diabetes. Lux’s story will be featured on his show this season.
