Jamestown (CSi) Plans have been approved by the Jamestown Regional Airport Authority along with specifications for an eight-bay T-hangar building and a crack sealing and repainting project on the asphalt at the airport.<\/p>\n

Meeting in Special Session Tuesday, board members voted unanimously to approve the plans from Interstate Engineering, Project Manager Steve Aldinger.<\/p>\n

He says bids will be advertised for both projects on Friday. A pre-bid meeting will be held April 23rd with the bids opened and contracts awarded on May 2.<\/sup><\/p>\n

One pilot is interested in renting a bay at the hangar.<\/p>\n

The completion date is tentatively scheduled for December 1, 2014,with a $900-a-day penalty assessed to the contractor for going past the completion date.<\/p>\n

Mechanical work won’t be necessary as the hangar will not be heated, and the hangar does not need to be equipped for fire suppression after further review of the fire code.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Council has approved a total real estate valuation for taxes in Jamestown of $703 million.<\/p>\n

At the Jamestown Board of Equalization Tuesday, City Assesor, Darrell Wollan said, the figure is an increase from the $650 million in valuation used for the 2013 taxes.<\/p>\n

Wollan said the value may be lowered to $696 million when final calculations are made.<\/p>\n

The higher valuation was mostly due to changes in the value of residential property which increased 9.9 percent.<\/p>\n

Each mill of taxes would generate $33,000 for the city compared to about $30,000 last year.<\/p>\n

Kessler has served in this position for the past 4 seasons. He will continue to coach the Blue Jay Baseball team as well as teach at Jamestown Middle School.<\/p>\n

Fargo (CSI) – NDSU has announced that Wahpeton native Dave Richman will become the 23rd coach in the men’s basketball\u00a0program history.<\/p>\n

Richman has been former head coach Saul Phillips’ right hand man for the past seven seasons, he’s spent eleven years total on the Bison bench working with Phillips and Tim Miles. Richman is an NDSU graduate and he’s set to inherit a team that returns just two starters, but brings in four freshmen that he’s recruited.<\/p>\n
