News Sept 25, 2012) &#8212; The Men of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, along with much help from the Women of Trinity, will be holding the 46<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Lutefisk &amp; Meatball Supper, at the church Fellowship Hall.<\/p>\n<p>On October 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2012, the meal will be served from 4-p.m., to 7-p.m.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Norwegian lutefisk, and Swedish\/German meatballs, male waiters will provide the meal, which includes boiled potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, cranberries, buns, lefse, coffee and ice cream for dessert.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2 Jim Fritz, and Billy Rath pointed out that carryout meals are available by calling in advance, Joleen at the church at 252-2841, or talking with Al Wolf at the supper.<\/p>\n<p>Meals will be delivered at no cost.<\/p>\n<p>Rath pointed out that meals will also be delivered to Eventide at Hi-Acres, and Ave Maria Village.<\/p>\n<p>Also at the conclusion of the supper, surplus items will be available for purchase by those in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets can be purchased in advance from the church or any Men of Trinity member at $14 for adults, children 11 and under at $4 and pre-schoolers free.<\/p>\n<p>At the door, tickets are $15 for adults.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the supper go to local and area charities supported by Trinity Lutheran in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Fritz pointed out the supper began in 1966, by one of the founding father, Harvey Jensen, who was also involved in the construction of the church in 1956.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets will be given away on The Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, on the live morning show at 8:25 a.m., on September 27, &amp; 28, and October 1 &amp; 2.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) \u2013 The old North Valley Bridge north of Valley City, started coming down on Tuesday (Sept. 25. 2012).<\/p>\n<p>During the dismantling, barges are used to prevent debris from reaching the Sheyenne River.<\/p>\n<p>Project manager Shawn Mayfield, says the contractor, Industrial builders, will landscape the west side of the new $2.4 million bridge.<\/p>\n<p>The new bridge is 4 feet higher than the old bridge, to hopefully prevent closing with high water.<\/p>\n<p>The old bridge was closed during flooding in 2009 and 2011.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. (AP) &#8211; Health officials say 74 human cases of<br \/>\nWest Nile have been reported in North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say 11 of the cases were reported in Burleigh County. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Nine were in Barnes County and 8 were in Stutsman County.<\/span> Last year, the state had four<br \/>\nhuman cases of West Nile.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0CANDO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a man<br \/>\nand woman from Belcourt were killed Tuesday after their car<br \/>\ncollided with a semi-truck about 13 miles west of Cando.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The patrol says the 24-year-old man was driving the car east on<br \/>\nNorth Dakota Highway 17 about 9 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a<br \/>\ncurve and struck the rear tires of the semi-truck with an empty hay<br \/>\nrack trailer.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The car rotated and entered the south ditch coming to rest on<br \/>\nits wheels on the shoulder, killing the driver and a 19-year-old<br \/>\nfemale passenger. Another 19-year-old female passenger was flown to<br \/>\nTrinity Hospital in Minot.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The truck driver was not injured.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 No names were released. The accident is under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Fargo grocery store employee who was shot<br \/>\ntwice during a robbery has been released from the hospital.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Josh Kleckner and another employee were<br \/>\ninside Sunmart Foods at closing time around 11 p.m. Sunday when the<br \/>\ngunman entered, approached Kleckner and made demands.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Kleckner was shot when he struggled with the suspect.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The North Dakota Secretary of State&#8217;s<br \/>\noffice says it has received calls from residents reporting<br \/>\nanonymous phone calls falsely claiming that absentee voting is<br \/>\nillegal in the state.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The agency says it has received more than a dozen reports from<br \/>\nresidents who have received such calls.<\/p>\n<p>The secretary of state&#8217;s<br \/>\noffice says absentee voting is legal in the state and that<br \/>\nresidents receiving such calls should disregard them as a hoax.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To apply for an absentee ballot, voters can either contact their<br \/>\ncounty auditor or visit the secretary of state&#8217;s Web site.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>MANDAN, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Residents within Mandan&#8217;s public school<br \/>\ndistrict have overwhelmingly approved a $12.5 million bond issue to<br \/>\nbuild a new elementary school to deal with anticipated enrollment<br \/>\ngrowth.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The measure passed Tuesday with 78.3 percent approval of the 2,581<br \/>\npeople who voted.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Superintendent Mike Bitz says the goal is to have the new school<br \/>\nopen by August 2014.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bismarck and nearby Lincoln also are slated to a new elementary<br \/>\nschool and Bismarck is getting another high school.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Grand Forks man has been sentenced to<br \/>\nsix months in prison for possessing five pounds of marijuana he<br \/>\nreceived the mail.<br \/>\n34-year-old Nicholas Rivera pleaded guilty to a charge of marijuana<br \/>\npossession in February.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say a postal inspector notified the Grand Forks<br \/>\nNarcotics Task Force that a suspicious package addressed to Rivera<br \/>\nat a Grand Forks motel had come to the post office.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Postal Inspector Tom Irwin got a search warrant, looked in the<br \/>\npackage and found &#8220;five pounds of high grade marijuana.&#8221; The<br \/>\npackage was delivered to Rivera at the motel and authorities<br \/>\narrested him an hour later.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple<br \/>\n(DAHL&#8217;-rimp-ul) says he&#8217;ll propose increasing state subsidies to<br \/>\npromote affordable housing development.<\/p>\n<p>The governor outlined the plan yesterday in Bismarck.
