(AP) &#8211; The owner of a former youth chemical dependency center in Jamestown has agreed to settle a civil suit over allegations of misconduct among staff members, one of whom allegedly had sex with residents and encouraged them to use drugs and alcohol, according to court documents.<\/p>\n<p>Recently unsealed court documents show that the complaint was filed six years ago on behalf of 11 minors against Fargo-based Drake Counseling Center Inc. and Charles Drake. The suit says the center &#8220;absolutely failed in its duty to the children involved.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>No criminal charges were filed in the case and the Drake Counseling Center license is in good standing with the state. Drake now runs a similar adolescent treatment center near Detroit Lakes.<\/p>\n<p>Drake and his lawyer didn&#8217;t respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FARGO, N.D.
