Anyone harassing, intimidating or threatening the offenders their families employers or landlords are subject to prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>More information available at\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sexoffender.nd.gov\/\">www.sexoffender.nd.gov\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The James River Family &#8220;Y&#8221; in Jamestown on September 2, 2014 becomes, the &#8220;James River Family Fitness Center,&#8221; but the name change will be the only difference the public will notice.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, the Y\u2019s Executive Director Frank Conlin pointed out the facility will continue with all the present offerings.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that with plans being developed over the past few years for a new Two Rivers Activity Center, (TRAC), an affiliation has been planned involving Jamestown Public Schools, Jamestown Parks and Recreation, Jamestown Tennis, and Jamestown Gymnastics, along with the James River Family Fitness Center.<\/p>\n<p>The Fitness Center\u2019s staff would become employees of Jamestown Parks and Recreation.<\/p>\n<p>The planned facility would be located at the 7.5-8-acres of land north of Gussner Elementary School, in Northeast Jamestown, that was previously used for JPS 9<sup>th<\/sup> grade football.<\/p>\n<p>TRAC would include an aquatic center with an indoor water park and outdoor water features.<\/p>\n<p>The center would include space for the child care facility currently operated by the James River Family YMCA in the Larson Center, an indoor playground, an indoor turfed surface facility and an indoor fieldhouse that would have multiple-use courts and a running track.<\/p>\n<p>The Two Rivers Activity Center Board of Directors should have design plans of the proposed community activity center ready for public review within four to six weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Conlin added that possible funding for the Two Rivers Activity Center, could come in part from a \u00be cent City Sales tax, that is presently being used toward paying off the costs of Jamestown High School, which was approved by voters in the early 2000\u2019s. Conlin believes the high school portion of the City Sales Tax will expire in 2017. At that time, if approved by voters, the \u00be cent City Sales Tax portion would go toward funding the TRAC facility. (AP) \u2013 A rural Kathryn woman charged with the deaths of eight horses had a seizure in court and was taken to a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Ginger Helland appeared in court on Tuesday. She is awaiting trial on charges of animal neglect, animal abuse and improper disposal of animal carcass.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Jay Schmitz called for emergency workers to assist the woman, who began shaking uncontrollably with a seizure.<\/p>\n<p>Barnes County State\u2019s Attorney Carl Martinek says the trial for Helland will be reset and witnesses will be recalled later<\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Valley City (CSi) Following the finishing of the water main replacement project on Second Street Southwest near Marketplace Foods, construction will start on West Main Street. The Second Street project may finish this week.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say, construction on West Main Street may entail a traffic detour and various lanes may be closed.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists are urged to follow detour caution sign instructions.<\/p>\n<p>Three sections of Valley City are having water main replacements this summer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Williston (CSi) With a Jamestown store under construction, Menard&#8217;s has submitted plans for a store that will anchor a Williston retail development.<\/p>\n<p>The home improvement store in Williston is planned to have about 209,630 square feet with an additional 72,596 square feet for a lumberyard and cold storage.<\/p>\n<p>The Williston Economic Development, says, site also will include parking space for about 420 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The Williston location will be the sixth Menards store in North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>A store that opened recently in Dickinson is about 200,000 square feet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Fargo man has pleaded not guilty to murder in the shooting death of his roommate last month.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Twenty-four-year-old Christopher Hampton is accused of killing Randall Doehner, his cousin, at the duplex where they lived. Hampton says Doehner was trying to poison him. Doehner&#8217;s fiancee, Stefani Desjarlais, disputes that.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prosecutors did not discuss evidence during Wednesday&#8217;s court hearing.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hampton could face life in prison without parole if convicted. (AP) &#8211; A South Dakota man has been sentenced to six years in prison for attacking a female store clerk with a pair of scissors in the southeastern North Dakota city of Wahpeton.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nJudge Brad Cruff called 21-year-old Christopher Yellow Earrings a &#8220;time bomb&#8221; as he imposed the sentence on Wednesday.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say they think the Peever, South Dakota, resident was high on drugs when he attacked the employee at a Family Dollar store in Wahpeton in May 2013. The clerk suffered a wound that required stitches and a police officer suffered a cut hand in the incident.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Yellow Earrings said in court that he does not remember what happened. He pleaded guilty to terrorizing, reckless endangerment and preventing arrest in a deal with prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0WEST ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) &#8211; Police say an officer from Minnesota who was shot after making a traffic stop died of his wounds.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The slain Mendota Heights officer was identified as 47-year-old Scott Patrick.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Patrick was shot about 12:20 p.m. Wednesday after pulling over a car in West St. Paul. Witnesses reported hearing three gunshots.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A massive manhunt followed the shooting. Police said they are still seeking a suspect, whom they identified as 39-year-old Brian Fitch Sr., of South St. Paul or West St. Paul.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Patrick leaves behind a wife and two teenage children. (AP) &#8211; A man is in custody in West Fargo after allegedly leading police on a chase, ramming a squad car and trying to force his way into a home.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say 25-year-old Jean Roubideaux was charged Wednesday with one misdemeanor and several felonies that include reckless endangerment, fleeing and felon in possession of a firearm.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The incident began as a traffic stop about 1 a.m. Wednesday. After police put the driver in a squad car while they identified him, Roubideaux allegedly slid into the driver&#8217;s seat of the suspect vehicle and took off, ramming a squad car and crashing into a road sign a few blocks away.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say he also is wanted on a Minnesota warrant.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 No one was hurt in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Mandan woman is accused of submitting more than $7,100 in fraudulent insurance claims.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n28-year-old Jessi Marie Elmer is charged with felony theft of property and felony forgery.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Elmer made her first appearance in Burleigh County Court on Wednesday with her attorney. Shannon O&#8217;Connor, James Simpson and Mikael Gillette all signed plea agreements this week to conspiracy charges.
