{"id":52815,"date":"2014-08-22T07:35:00","date_gmt":"2014-08-22T12:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=52815"},"modified":"2014-08-22T18:41:41","modified_gmt":"2014-08-22T23:41:41","slug":"vc-bussinesses-evacuated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=52815","title":{"rendered":"Gas line damaged, VC businesses evacuated Thurs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City (CSi) Dietrich &amp; Sons company and Heartland Flax in Valley City were evacuated Thursday morning after an underground gas line was ruptured by a construction scraper.<\/p>\n<p>Valley City Fire Chief Gary Retterath says the scraper punched a one inch hole into the 2 inch diameter MDU gas line around 11:50-a.m.<\/p>\n<p>He says crews pinched the line so MDU crews could make the necessary repair about 36 feet from the back of the businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Retterath says Valley City fire crews and police were at the scene for about 90 minutes before employees were let back in the building.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City (CSi) Dietrich &amp; Sons company and Heartland Flax in Valley City were evacuated Thursday morning after an underground gas line was ruptured by a construction scraper.
