News) &#8212; Authorities say a farm house\u00a0east of Spiritwood was destroyed, and two occupants were burned, following a furnace explosion, and fire that occurred, Tuesday (Oct 9, 2012).<\/p>\n<p>The Sanborn Fire Department responded to the call, at about 1-p.m., Tuesday,\u00a0\u00a0to 3405 101st\u00a0Avenue, Southeast (google maps places the address north of I94 Exit 276,\u00a0 and south of Eckelson).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sanborn Fire Chief\u00a0 Tim Lyter says, when the fire fighters arrived on the scene, the home was engulfed in flames and was collapsing.<\/p>\n<p>Two occupants were burned in the blaze.<\/p>\n<p>The homeowner Paul Komroski, and his father, Eugene were taken to Mercy Hospital, in Valley City, were they were admitted for treatment of burns.<\/p>\n<p>The units were on the scene until about 8-a.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Assisting Sanborn for about three hours, was the Valley City Fire Department, as about 100,000 gallons of water was poured on the fire.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Lyter, says, the garage and its contents were saved and not damaged.<\/p>\n<p>A donation fund has been established for the family.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact Susan Thompson at 701-652-3239.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spiritwood, ND (KCSi-T.V.
