(AP) &#8211; Former Bismarck High and University of North Dakota standout wide receiver Weston Dressler has re-signed with the Canadian Football League&#8217;s Saskatchewan Roughriders.<\/p>\n<p>The Roughriders released Dressler early this year to give him the opportunity to sign with an NFL team, but it didn&#8217;t work out. The Kansas City Chiefs released Dressler on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Dressler has played six seasons with the Roughriders, topping the 1,000-yard receiving mark five times and being named a CFL All-Star twice. He also was the CFL&#8217;s rookie of the year in 2008 and won a Grey Cup championship with the team last year.<\/p>\n<p>Dressler is third in franchise history with 442 receptions and 6,536 yards.<\/p>\n<p>Terms of his latest contract with the team were not released.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The Kansas City Chiefs have released former Bismarck High and University of North Dakota standout wide receiver Weston Dressler.<\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs announced the move Monday morning on the team website. Dressler was among 11 players cut.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Football League&#8217;s Saskatchewan Roughriders released Dressler early this year to give him the opportunity to sign with an NFL team. The Chiefs signed him in February.<\/p>\n<p>Dressler played six seasons with the Roughriders, topping the 1,000-yard receiving mark five times.
