News) &#8212; Jamestown Police report\u00a0a \u00a0railroad crossing arm was struck about 11:30 a.m. on Friday (Oct 12, 2012) at 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Street, Southeast, in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Police on the scene said a vehicle struck the crossing arm on the south side of the\u00a0crossing, as it was\u00a0heading east on 3rd street.<\/p>\n<p>No vehicle was at the scene when police arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Damage was confined to knocking the arm loose from the unit, and some dangling wires.<\/p>\n<p>A BNSF worker was getting material to reattach the arm.<\/p>\n<p>The crossing arms at that location have been hit a few times over the past few months, with the installation of the median as part of the railroad Quiet Zone.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V.
