(AP) &#8211; NASCAR and Fox announced an eight-year, $2.4 billion extension Monday that runs through 2022 and keeps the<br \/>\nprestigious Daytona 500 and first third of the Sprint Cup Series on the network.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The deal begins in 2015. The $300 million average annual fee is up from the $225 million Fox has been currently paying.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It includes &#8220;TV Everywhere&#8221; rights that allow Fox to live<br \/>\nstream its races beginning with the 2013 season-opening Daytona<br \/>\n500.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Fox gets the first 13 Sprint Cup Series races under the deal,<br \/>\nand the entire Camping World Truck Series.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ESPN and Turner hold the rights on the remainder of the schedule<br \/>\nthrough 2014, and exclusive negotiations with NASCAR do not begin<br \/>\nuntil next summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0\u00a0CHARLOTTE, N.C.
