Initiated County Measure No. 1<\/p>\n

AMENDMENT OF STUTSMAN COUNTY\u00a0HOME RULE CHARTER
\nShall Article 2 of the Home Rule Charter of\u00a0Stutsman County be amended to impose a\u00a0retail sales, gross receipts and uses tax for\u00a0land purchase, acquisition, renovation,\u00a0construction and\/or related maintenance\u00a0for a new public library<\/strong> facility. Such tax\u00a0shall begin April 1, 2015 and shall continue\u00a0until all costs authorized herein have been\u00a0fully paid. Taxes shall be limited to those\u00a0imposed by Chapters 57-39.2, 57-39.4,\u00a057-39.5, 57-39.6 and 57-40.02 of the North\u00a0Dakota Century Code. Such tax shall not\u00a0exceed 1\/4 of 1% of the gross receipts and\u00a0purchases pursuant to Chapters 57-39.2,
\n57-39.4, 57-39.5, 57-39.6 and 57-40.02 of\u00a0the North Dakota Century Code, nor exceed\u00a0$6.25 on any single purchase, subject to\u00a0Section 57-01-02.1 of the North Dakota\u00a0Century Code; and subject to collection as in\u00a0Section 57-39.2-08.2 of the North Dakota\u00a0Century code.

\nTHE AMENDMENT REDUCES THE DATES\u00a0FOR SALE & TIME & DATES OF USE OF\u00a0FIREWORKS<\/strong> IN THE CITY OF \u00a0JAMESTOWN
\nShould Section 15-33 Subsection (1) of the\u00a0Code of the City of Jamestown be amended\u00a0and re-enacted as follows:<\/p>\n

No person shall\u00a0offer fireworks for sale to individuals at retail\u00a0within the city except during the periods of\u00a0the first day of July through the fifth day of\u00a0July and the twenty-sixth day of December\u00a0through the first day of January. Fireworks
\nmay be used or detonated on the first day of\u00a0July through the fifth day of July and on the\u00a0twenty-sixth day of December through the\u00a0first day of January. \u00a0The use of or\u00a0detonation of any fireworks from 11:00 p.m.\u00a0to 12:00 p.m. (noon) is prohibited within the\u00a0City of Jamestown. \u00a0Exceptions: Fireworks\u00a0may be detonated on July 4 from 12:00 p.m.
\n(noon) to 1:00 a.m. July 5 and on December\u00a031 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 1:00 a.m.\u00a0January 1.<\/p>\n
