LOWS IN THE MID 30S.<br \/>\nHIGHS IN THE UPPER 50S.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) This year&#8217;s annual Trinity Lutheran Church Lutefisk and Meatball Supper is Wednesday October 15, 2014, from 4-p.m., to 7-p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The church is located at 4th Avenue and5th Street, Southeast in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Ticket prices are;<\/p>\n<p>Adults pre-sale $14, and $15 at the door.<\/p>\n<p>Youth 6-11 years old, $4, pre-schoolers, free.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, a member of The Men Of Trinity Tom Olson, said, 75 to 80 volunteers from the men&#8217;s group, and around 25 members of the women&#8217;s group, set up tables and food-processing stations.<\/p>\n<p>350 pounds of fish, 200 pounds of meat and 300 pounds of potatoes for the dinner are prepared for the dinner.<\/p>\n<p>Lutefisk is a traditional Scandinavian delicacy made from dried cod treated with lye.<\/p>\n<p>The full menu includes Swedish meatballs, lutefisk, boiled potatoes, meatball gravy, coleslaw, cranberries, lefse and ice cream.<\/p>\n<p>Carry-out meals are available by contacting the church at 252-8534.<\/p>\n<p>Olson said last year the dinner had about 550 attendees and brought in about $7,700 in the church&#8217;s biggest fundraiser of the year. Funds are spent on youth activities and other programs.<\/p>\n<p>The proceeds from the dinner, support Bible camper trips, while other funds go to the Jamestown Salvation Army, helping with holiday food baskets.<\/p>\n<p>Trinity van is maintained used for a variety of services, such as giving taxi rides to members who don&#8217;t drive so they can get to church.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the proceeds from the dinner are used for outreach.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown Tourism Director, Searle Swedlund reminds local entities and organizations to apply for grant funding, as local events are also regional tourist attractions.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Swedlund said to apply for a grant application to contact his office to schedule the request before the Executive\/Grant Board.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that at this time four grant requests are scheduled to come before the October 24, 2014 meeting at 11:30-a.m., to be held at the CSi Technology Center at Historic Franklin School.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK (CSi) North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm today reminded North Dakotans the open enrollment period for Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage begins Oct. 15 and ends Dec. 7.<\/p>\n<p>Hamm says &#8220;Companies often make changes to the plans they offer, so I encourage Medicare beneficiaries to compare their Part D plans to be sure they\u2019re enrolled in the one that\u2019s best for them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Valley City area residents are invited to attend a free enrollment event 9 a.m.\u20134 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at the Senior Center, 139 2<sup>nd Ave. SE, Valley City.<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Jamestown area residents are invited to attend a free enrollment event 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at the James River Senior Center at The Legacy Place, 419 5th St. NE, Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>The Insurance Department\u2019s State Health Insurance Counseling Program (SHIC) staff is traveling to seven cities around the state during the open enrollment period, offering free assistance in switching or enrolling in a Medicare prescription drug plan. Breast cancer needs to be caught early. It\u2019s not the number of women who develop breast cancer, but it\u2019s how young they are when they do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The equipment used for mammography at Mercy is now all digital. (AP) &#8211; The two suspects in the fatal shooting of a man in Grand Forks in June have pleaded not guilty to murder and burglary charges.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thirty-year-old Delvin Shaw and 18-year-old Dametrian Welch are charged in the death of 24-year-old Jose Lopez.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0They could face life in prison without parole if convicted.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say Lopez was shot three times in his apartment on June 24. Welch was arrested in Grand Forks the next day. Shaw was arrested in St. Paul, Minnesota, four days after the shooting.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Welch&#8217;s attorney on Monday asked for a reduction in his client&#8217;s $500,000 bond but Judge Sonja Clapp refused.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Shaw is being held without bond. He&#8217;s due in court Thursday for a review of that order.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Bismarck police responding to a parking violation arrested a Minot man wanted in Williams County for allegedly exploiting an 85-year-old woman out of $100,000.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Twenty-one-year-old Joseph Sherlock was wanted in Williams County on warrants for felony theft and exploitation. Court documents do not list an attorney for him.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSherlock allegedly overcharged the woman for work at her home. Officers arrested him at a Bismarck restaurant on Saturday night. He&#8217;ll be taken to Williston to answer to the charges.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0MINOT, N.D. (AP) &#8211; About 15 airmen from the Minot Air Force Base are set to return home after a six-month deployment in southwest Asia.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The North Dakota Air National Guard says the airmen form the 219th Security Forces Squadron will arrive to Minot on Tuesday.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Guard says the airmen were deployed in support of U.S. Central Command operations. In Minot, the unit works with active duty airmen, helping to protect missile fields.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The airmen are scheduled to arrive at 11:30 p.m. at Minot International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Gov. Jack Dalrymple says value-added energy business is the future of North Dakota&#8217;s economy.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dalrymple and North Dakota&#8217;s congressional delegation spoke Tuesday at the eighth annual Great Plains and EmPower ND Energy Conference at Bismarck State College. The conference features energy policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dalrymple pointed to a proposed $4 billion factory that would convert ethane from natural gas into a material used for plastics. He also pointed to a proposed $3 billion Spiritwood plant that would convert natural gas into fertilizer.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 About one-third of the natural gas produced in North Dakota is burned off due to a lack of infrastructure. Kevin Cramer says North Dakota businesses have responded to the challenge.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) &#8211; Dakotas-based Sanford Health has opened a children&#8217;s clinic in China.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sanford is operating the clinic in the city of Kunming in collaboration with a state-owned health care system in China. The two-story, 18,000-square-foot facility includes 14 exam rooms, six treatment rooms, an education and training room and office space. (AP) &#8211; The former mayor of North Carolina&#8217;s largest city has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison. Patrick Cannon had resigned in the midst of a corruption case that stunned Charlotte. In a deal with prosecutors, Patrick Cannon pleaded guilty in June to one count of honest services wire fraud. Prosecutors say Cannon accepted nearly $50,000 in bribes between January 2013, when he was a city councilman, and February 2014 &#8211; three months after he was elected mayor.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SAN FRANCISCO (AP) &#8211; According to American Airlines and aviation safety experts, the passengers and crew on a flight from San Francisco to Dallas Monday weren&#8217;t in any danger when several panels on the wall of the passenger cabin cracked loose. It happened after an air duct failed soon after takeoff.
