Life as it touches us.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Daily Bread Program has expanded with food freezers at Jamestown High School, and Louis L&#8217;Amour Elementary school.<\/p>\n<p>The Jamestown High and Louis L&#8217;Amour Elementary School locations join the Jamestown Middle School, Lincoln Elementary, Washington Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary schools as Daily Bread freezer locations.<\/p>\n<p>Deb Lee says,the Jamestown program hopes\u00a0\u00a0to expand further, to Gussner Elementary school soon.<\/p>\n<p>Daily Bread, Jamestown has been offering free surplus frozen meals at its first location, Ave Maria Village, for about three years.<\/p>\n<p>This spring, the program expanded to include delivery of food to the James River Senior Citizens Center, two locations for Community Action and the Salvation Army.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Two 4-year-old boys are at a hospital after nearly drowning at a hotel pool in North Dakota.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Cass County Sheriff&#8217;s office says emergency personnel were called to the Days Inn in Casselton on Tuesday and performed CPR on the children. The boys were then taken to a Fargo hospital where they are conscious and alert.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sgt. Tara Morris says the children are not related. She adds that their parents have been notified of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0MINOT, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Authorities have identified a 15-year-old boy that was killed in a hunting accident in the opening weekend of deer season.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAlex Lutes, of Minot, was killed in the accident on private land Saturday morning.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 McClean County Chief Deputy J.R. Kerzmann called the incident &#8220;a sad, bad deal.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Memorial services will be held for Lutes at First Lutheran Church in Minot on Friday. People attending the funeral are asked to wear red in his memory and bring a canned food item.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An autopsy will be performed in Bismarck.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A North Dakota man has been sentenced to seven years in prison on an illegal weapons charge.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A federal jury in June convicted 47-year-old Brian Sweeney, of Minot, on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sweeney was stopped by police for a traffic violation in October 2013. Authorities found a .380-caliber handgun in the vehicle.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sweeney was prohibited from owning a firearm because of previous felony convictions. He was on probation with the state of North Dakota at the time he was arrested.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A federal public defender could not be reached for comment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Two North Dakota men have been charged in separate cases for the delivery of a controlled substance near a school.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 29-year-old Christopher Hanson and 19-year-old Brandon Meier have been charged with a Class A felony for delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hanson is also charged with delivery of methamphetamine and a Class B felony for delivery of a controlled substance. He is being held on a $5,000 bond.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The station reports Meier also has two other pending felony drug charges for possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in custody on a $1,500 bond.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is unclear whether each man has legal representation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Police in Fargo are looking for the suspect in a convenience store robbery.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Interim Police Chief Dave Todd\u00a0says \u00a0a man entered the Loaf &#8216;N Jug store, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The man then left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and jumped into a small, red getaway car driven by another person.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Todd says the man was wearing a red hoodie and had his face covered. He adds that police will check surveillance video from the store and nearby businesses in hopes of identifying a suspect and getting a better description of the car.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The Ramsey County sheriff says authorities are still trying to solve the slaying of a Montana man 12 years ago. The body of 19-year-old Russell Turcotte was found in a tree grove in the eastern North Dakota county in November 2002. Sheriff Steve Nelson says authorities review the case file about twice a year, but they haven&#8217;t come up with anything new.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The representative for a Grand Forks attorney who was accused and then cleared of conspiring to kill a confidential informant says he plans to investigate a drug task force now that the key witness in the case has been sentenced to prison. Henry Howe is a longtime criminal defense attorney who was charged in January with murder conspiracy. The case was dropped after Howe&#8217;s lawyer, David Thompson, argued that witness Steven Anderson made up the allegations. Anderson was sentenced to seven years for felony theft.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The soybean crop in the Dakotas is forecast to be record size this year.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The U.S. Department of Agriculture in its Nov. 10 report pegs North Dakota&#8217;s soybean crop at 201 million bushels, up 42 percent from last year. South Dakota&#8217;s crop is estimated at 230 million bushels, up 24 percent over the year. Both production figures would be state records.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 South Dakota&#8217;s corn crop also is forecast to be a record &#8211; 815 million bushels, up 1 percent. However, about 16 percent of the crop remains in the field, with some of it now covered by snow that could hamper the rest of the harvest.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 North Dakota&#8217;s corn production is estimated at 352 million bushels, down 11 percent from 2013.
