HIGHS IN THE MID 30S.<br \/>\nLOWS IN THE LOWER 20S.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0THERE IS A CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTAWEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT&#8230;WHICH INCLUDES THE JAMES RIVER VALLEY.\u00a0 A MINOR SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(KCSi-T.V News)\u00a0 \u2013\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, five people were injured in a two-pickup crash at 2:35 p.m. Saturday (Oct 20, 2012).<\/p>\n<p>The report says, 14 year old Trenten Baumler,\u00a0of \u00a0Enderlin, was\u00a0operating \u00a0a pickup northbound on a Ransom County gravel road 10 miles west of Enderlin and one mile south of Highway 46, when he failed to yield at an unmarked intersection. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>His vehicle \u00a0struck a westbound pickup driven by 62 year old Sharon Lund, of Nome.<\/p>\n<p>Baumler was not injured.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A \u00a0passenger, 15 year old Chase Kemmer, hometown not listed, was transported by\u00a0 ambulance to Lisbon with unknown injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Lund and\u00a0a passenger, 36 year old Heather Lund of Nome, were airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.<\/p>\n<p>Two other passengers, 16 year old \u00a0David Lund, and\u00a0 8 year old Kierra Lund,\u00a0 of Nome, were taken by ambulance to Sanford in Fargo.<\/p>\n<p>Their \u00a0injuries\u00a0 were\u00a0not available, but they\u00a0were conscious at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>They were all listed as\u00a0 wearing seat belts.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Baumler\u2019s pickup,\u00a0received \u00a0significant \u00a0front-end damage.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Lund\u2019s pickup\u00a0was totaled.<\/p>\n<p>Assisting at the scene were the \u00a0Ransom County Sheriff\u2019s Office and Enderlin Fire Department. .<\/p>\n<p>The Highway\u00a0Patrol is continuing the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; No one was seriously injured in a crash at a<br \/>\nFargo intersection involving a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The patrol says the trooper&#8217;s sport utility vehicle collided<br \/>\nwith an SUV driven by a 45-year-old woman who failed to stop at a<br \/>\nred light about 4 p.m. Sunday.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say everyone involved in the crash refused medical<br \/>\ntreatment at the scene.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The trooper&#8217;s SUV suffered an estimated $4,000 in damage and the<br \/>\nwoman&#8217;s SUV about $6,500 in damage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A North Dakota man who was driving<br \/>\ndrunk when he collided head-on with a vehicle and killed another<br \/>\nman is scheduled for sentencing.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Douglas Baker, also known as Douglas Lawrence, pleaded guilty in<br \/>\nfederal court to involuntary manslaughter.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say the September 2011 collision on the Spirit Lake<br \/>\nIndian Reservation killed Dana Grow, of Grand Forks.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Baker&#8217;s blood-alcohol concentration was .21. The legal limit for<br \/>\ndriving in North Dakota is .08.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The charge carries a maximum penalty of eight years in prison.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sentencing is set for 10 a.m. Monday in Fargo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Carrington, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) &#8212; The Carrington School District, has been selected as a $10,000 winner in the Monsanto Fund\u2019s America\u2019s Farmers Grow Rural Education<sup>SM<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>This program gives farmers the opportunity to nominate their public school district to apply for a merit-based grant to enhance math and science education.<\/p>\n<p>After a three-tier grant review process, Carrington School District was selected as one of five winners in North Dakota, which has a total of $65,000 is being invested in rural education.<\/p>\n<p>Carrington School District faculty, local farmers and Monsanto representatives will participate in a check presentation ceremony prior to the varsity girls\u2019 volleyball match, on Monday October 22, 2012, at about 6-p.m.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Two more people have been charged in the<br \/>\ncase of a defunct Arizona mortgage lender accused of swindling<br \/>\nBismarck-based BNC National Bank out of about $27 million.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lauretta Horton, former director of accounting with American<br \/>\nMortgage Specialists Incorporated, and David Kaufman, an<br \/>\nindependent auditor, have pleaded not guilty in federal court.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Horton is accused of inflating assets and altering other<br \/>\nfinancial information. (AP) &#8211; An annual pheasant and grouse hunt that<br \/>\nbenefits the Bismarck Cancer Center also is helping residents of a<br \/>\nsmall North Dakota town nearly wiped out by a wildfire.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The &#8220;Hunting Dakota with Roosevelt&#8221; event brings together<br \/>\nNorth Dakota military personnel, cancer survivors and others.
