Outside the residence, officers found 31 year old Lindsey Thorton whom they believed to be intoxicated.<\/p>\n<p>Police determined Thorton was at the house in a dispute over property with her recently divorced ex-husband.<\/p>\n<p>As officers were speaking with the man, Thorton entered the residence and refused repeated requests to leave.<\/p>\n<p>Officers arrested Thorton t for disorderly conduct and attempted to place her in handcuffs when she resisted arrest and kicked one of the officers.<\/p>\n<p>After handcuffed, she had to be carried to a patrol car for transport to the Barnes County Correctional Center.<\/p>\n<p>The case is still under investigation by the VCPD and anyone with information is asked to contact the department at (701) 845-3110.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City (CSi) Valley City Police is looking for information from the public as a Valley City woman is charged withdisorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an early Sunday morning incident.
