LOWS 10 TO 15.<br \/>\nHIGHS IN THE MID 20S.<\/p>\n<p>.SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY SPOTTY SLIGHT CHANCES OF SNOW.<br \/>\n\u00a0MAINLY DRY CONDITIONS AND SEASONAL TEMPERATURES MONDAY-<br \/>\n\u00a0THURSDAY.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Carrington (CSi) On Thursday afternoon, the Foster County State\u2019s Attorney Paul Murphy and Foster County Commission chairman Bill Bauer updated issues in Foster County.<\/p>\n<p>They said that Foster County is currently in a difficult position following the resignation of after five county officials, including the Sheriff, Deputy Sheriff, Auditor, Clerk of Court and Assistant Clerk of Court.<\/p>\n<p>Murphy said no former county official is under investigation and no charges are pending against any individual.<\/p>\n<p>It was indicated that Foster County is working to get all the positions filled.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with experience as a former or current Clerk of Court or Assistant Clerk of Court and can work full-time or part-time is asked the Foster County Clerk of Court Office as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Coborn\u2019s grocery store in Jamestown\u00a0is is now Cash Wise Foods.<\/p>\n<p>The Store\u00a0hd been \u00a0closed to convert to Cash Wise December 8-10, 2014, and reopened as Cash Wise at 6-a.m., on December 11<sup>th<\/sup>. The store hours will remain the same: open from 6 a.m. to midnight.<\/p>\n<p>During\u00a0the down time the store was being updated with Cash Wise d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say that prices will be lowered on thousands of items throughout the store.<\/p>\n<p>A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at 11-a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Store Manager Kyle Wensmann said \u201cWe will be the low price leader in Jamestown. Our customers have been asking for a Cash Wise store in Jamestown and we\u2019re responding to them by converting our Coborn\u2019s store into a Cash Wise. Coborn\u2019s Inc. has Cash Wise stores in several other markets in North Dakota, so by converting our store, we will be able to create more efficiencies that will allow us to provide our customers with great food at much lower prices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The main difference between Cash Wise and Coborn\u2019s is that the top focus for Cash Wise is low prices, which result from operating efficiencies.<\/p>\n<p>All employees will keep their positions; no jobs will be lost and wages will not be impacted by this conversion, while some duties will be adjusted.<\/p>\n<p>Cash Wise Foods stores have been in operation in Fargo\/Moorhead and Bismarck for 26 years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) Within 30 miles of Jamestown there are 20 bodies of water, that have been stocked with fish by the State Game and Fish Department.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Jamestown Tourism Director Searle Swedlund said being an ice fisherman, he noted fishing opportunities at the reservoir, and other bodies of water, that attract visitors from around eastern North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that a number of individuals are coming the Jamestown area for ice fishing from the Fargo and Bismarck area.<\/p>\n<p>He added, that the web site <span style=\"font-size: large;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fishjamestown.nd.com\/\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">www.fishjamestown.nd.com<\/span><\/a><\/span><span> has more information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Jurors are deciding the fate of two North Dakota brothers accused of defrauding the federal government out of about $2 million in crop insurance payments.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Aaron and Derek Johnson, of the Cooperstown area, are charged with conspiring to receive illegal payments by intentionally damaging potatoes.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prosecutors said in closing arguments Thursday that the brothers bought a chemical to spoil the spuds. Prosecutors said it was the single-largest purchase of the chemical at a Menard&#8217;s store in North Dakota in a six-year period.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Defense attorneys said the potatoes were never tested, and a key witness in the case has a record of serious criminal offenses and is not credible.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Testimony in the federal trial in Fargo lasted nearly two weeks. The case went to the jury shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Fargo police are investigating a reported robbery at a Happy Joe&#8217;s pizza restaurant.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lt. Joel Vettel says a male entered the restaurant shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday and claimed that he had a gun, though he did not show a weapon.\u00a0 The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Officers were using a police dog to search the area and using surveillance cameras to try to identify a suspect.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0ALEXANDER, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the identity of the Wisconsin man who died in a three-vehicle crash in the state&#8217;s oil patch.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Highway Patrol has identified the man as 21-year-old Bretton Gimse, of Union Grove, Wisconsin. The incident happened shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 85, about 5 miles north of Alexander.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say the car driven by Gimse collided with a pickup truck that had turned in front of the car. The car came to rest on the highway and was struck moments later by a large work truck hauling a flatbed trailer loaded with pipe.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gimse died at a Williston hospital. The two people in the pickup truck, from Pennsylvania and Arizona, suffered undisclosed injuries. The person in the work truck wasn&#8217;t hurt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Gov. Jack Dalrymple is awarding North Dakota&#8217;s highest honor to state Supreme Court Chief Justice Gerald VandeWalle.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The chief justice is the 41st recipient of the Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The 81-year-old VandeWalle was re-elected to his fourth 10-year term in November. He is the longest-serving chief justice in state history and the oldest state chief justice in the nation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 VandeWalle is a native of Noonan and a University of North Dakota graduate. He was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1978 by former Gov. (AP) &#8211; The man prosecuting a Williston man on trial for murder told jurors that authorities searched the home of Ryan Stensaker&#8217;s mother and found a rifle in the bedroom where Stensaker often slept.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Under questioning from the defense, lead investigator Amanda McNamee said authorities also found one round of the type of ammunition used to kill Jack Sjol (shohl) at the home of the ex-husband of Sjol&#8217;s girlfriend.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stensaker is on trial in Minot on murder conspiracy and other charges in the spring 2013 death of Sjohl.\u00a0 McNamee testified Wednesday that authorities have not identified a motive in the case, and had other suspects than Stensaker.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stensaker&#8217;s trial is scheduled to run through the end of next week. He could face life in prison without parole if convicted.<\/p>\n<p>BEULAH, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A western North Dakota power plant that was shut down after a fire last week should be running at half capacity by Christmas.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 No one was hurt in the Dec. 4 fire at the Coyote Station coal-powered plant near Beulah. He conceded that unauthorized methods were used against captives.
