News Oct 23, 2012) &#8212; The North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown plans to close the Adolescent Care Facility in three to six months.<\/p>\n<p>Superintendent Alex Schweitzer says adolescents with<\/p>\n<p>psychological problems or addiction issues now will be treated at<\/p>\n<p>private facilities around the state. Teens with disabilities will<\/p>\n<p>be placed at the state Developmental Center in Grafton.<\/p>\n<p>Schweitzer says when he came to the State Hospital it 1995 it had 35 beds for teens. He says the facility now sees only about a dozen referrals a year because of a trend toward more community-based care.<\/p>\n<p>The State Hospital will continue to treat adults with<\/p>\n<p>psychological or addiction issues, and also house committed sex offenders.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Valley City, N.D., (KCSi-T.V. News Oct 22, 2012) &#8212; The Thundering Saints have donated $8,000 to Hospice of the Red River Valley, generated from proceeds of the fourth annual Debbie Gabel Memorial Ride held in Valley City on July 28, 2012.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The donation will be used to provide compassionate end-of-life care to those in Valley City and surrounding communities.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s ride attracted approximately 200 motorcycle riders from the surrounding states.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The event also included an appearance from the Vikings cheerleaders, a breakfast served by Relay for Life, a raffle, a silent auction and supper at the VFW, and street dance.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The raffle&#8217;s grand prize, a 2012 Harley Davidson Heritage Classic, was won by a woman who has a son with cancer.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Event founder, Rocky Gabel says, &#8220;We had another successful year. The proceeds of the event stay local, and the community has really rallied to make it a success.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Next year&#8217;s event is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2013.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota&#8217;s state engineer says<\/p>\n<p>repairs have been completed at the east-end floodwater diversion<\/p>\n<p>outlet on Devils Lake.<\/p>\n<p>Todd Sando says officials on Monday were getting outlet operations restarted.<\/p>\n<p>He says officials are confident they can ramp up to the outlet&#8217;s maximum flow.<\/p>\n<p>The east-end outlet came online earlier this summer, to complement a west-end outlet.<\/p>\n<p>A pipeline leak earlier this month led to ground erosion and pipe settling at the east-end structure.<\/p>\n<p>Sando says the repairs were covered under warranty.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; About 30 North Dakota Army National Guard<br \/>\nsoldiers are gearing up for a year of duty in Cuba.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The soldiers with the 191st Military Police Company will join<br \/>\nabout 120 U.S. Army reservists as part of a much larger force at<br \/>\nthe U.S. Navy base in Guantanamo Bay.
