VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) – A 30-year-old Valley City woman is accused of entering unlocked homes in Barnes County and stealing prescription drugs.<\/p>\n

Jenna Miller is charged with various counts of burglary, theft and possession of a controlled substance.<\/p>\n

Her attorney, Mark Blumer, did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Barnes County Sheriff, Randy McClaflin says several homes in the county were entered in July, August and September.<\/p>\n

State’s Attorney Lee Grossman says deputies allegedly found stolen prescription drugs in Miller’s vehicle during a traffic stop last Friday.<\/p>\n

Miller is due back in court on Nov. 20 and could possibly enter pleas to the charges against her.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Fall Fest is called “The Great Tomb Raid.”<\/p>\n

On Wednesday\u2019s (Oct 24, 2012) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, First Assembly of God, in Jamestown, Children\u2019s Pastor, Mary Ann Adams said, Fall Fest is designed as a carnival of games, candy, crafts, food and drama.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Fall Fest is called “The Great Tomb Raid.”<\/p>\n

Every game is centered on that theme.<\/p>\n

There are games for pre-school and elementary age children and lots and lots of candy.<\/p>\n

Parents even have the opportunity to relax the Lost Lounge, while their kids are enjoying the carnival.<\/p>\n

During the night all families will be directed to Israel Bones\u2019 Excavation Station where they will learn that Jesus is “The Great Tomb Raider.”<\/p>\n

She added that there will be food and plenty of goodies for everyone.<\/p>\n

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) October 24, 2012 — While military deployments and hospital stays may keep many of our nation\u2019s heroes away from their families this holiday season, the American Red Cross is collecting and distributing cards that send words of encouragement, gratitude and cheer. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

From now until\u00a0 December 7, 2012,<\/span> Americans can give something that means something by sending a card of thanks and support to members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families.<\/p>\n

Buffalo Valley Red Cross Chapter, Manager, Beth Dewald says, “It just takes a moment to sign a card to share your appreciation for the sacrifices members of the military community make. You say thanks, we\u2019ll do the rest.”<\/p>\n

This is the second year the Buffalo Valley Chapter has participated in this program.<\/p>\n

Last year in partnership with local programs such as the Art Center After School program and RSVP+, over 400 cards were sent to Pitney Bowes for distribution around the world.<\/p>\n

The chapter is also recruiting volunteers to help distribute cards to military members and veterans in the community around the holidays.<\/p>\n

To ensure that cards are delivered in time for the holidays, they must be postmarked no later than December 7<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Red Cross is inviting the public to send messages of thanks and holiday cheer until December 7 by mailing them to:<\/p>\n

Pitney Bowes Inc. receives cards at the special Holiday Mail post office box, and screens them for hazardous materials, at no charge, and contributes thousands of volunteer hours at sites around the country.<\/p>\n

Red Cross volunteers across the United States and on military installations overseas then sort and deliver the cards throughout the holiday season.<\/p>\n

The Red Cross and Pitney Bowes have received and distributed more than 4.7 million cards for members of the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans and their families since the program began in 2006.<\/p>\n

Individuals are asked to refrain from sending “care packages,” monetary donations, or using glitter or any other kinds of inserts with the cards.<\/p>\n

CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) – Repair crews in the North Dakota town of
\nCasselton are trying to figure out why emergency sirens
\ninexplicably went off Tuesday night.
\n\u00a0Residents heard the tone of emergency sirens ringing throughout Casselton around 10:30 p.m. with no explanation.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Public works crews were able to silence the sirens by manually
\ndisabling the siren.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Casselton Auditor Sheila Klevgard says a repair crew is en route
\nto the city, and she expects work to be finished by Thursday.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Klevgard said in an email to residents that the siren is
\ndesigned to emit a different tone based on the type of emergency,
\nwhich is why Tuesday night’s tone is not one heard before.<\/p>\n

\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The mayor of Oxbow says he is willing to
\nexplore the idea of building a dike around the town to save it from
\nbeing flooded by a proposed Red River diversion project to protect
\nthe Fargo-Moorhead area. But Jim Nyhof has conditions.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Nyhof says the town’s 18-hole golf course would have to be
\nsaved, with any course changes done with the consultation of the
\ncourse designer. He also wants to save homes, even if some have to
\nbe moved.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Nyhof says he wants officials to maintain Oxbow “as it
\nexists.”
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Army Corps of Engineers is looking at the possibility of
\nbuilding a levee around Oxbow, Hickson and a rural subdivision to
\nsave homes that otherwise would be demolished to make room for a
\ntemporary water storage area.<\/p>\n

\u00a0WASHINGTON (AP) – A White House spokesman says it doesn’t tell
\nthe full story. Jay Carney is talking about an email that was sent
\nby the State Department to intelligence officials and to the White
\nHouse just two hours after the U.S. consulate came under attack in
\nLibya last month.<\/p>\n

The email said an Islamist militant group had claimed responsibility.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Carney says it was just one piece of information that came in after the attack.<\/p>\n

Days later, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. was still saying the attack appeared to have started with a protest over an anti-Islamic video.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SEATTLE (AP) – Algerian terrorist Ahmed Ressam has been
\nsentenced to 37 years in prison for plotting to bomb Los Angeles
\nInternational Airport around the turn of the new millennium.<\/p>\n

Ressam was arrested in December 1999 as he drove off a ferry from Canada
\ninto Washington state with a trunk full of explosives.<\/p>\n

A judge had twice ordered him to serve 22-year terms, but both times the
\nsentences were reversed on appeal.

\nsays insurgents will increase the number of insider attacks against

In an emailed statement congratulating Muslims on the eve of a major holiday, Mullah Mohammad Omar said this had proven to be “the most

\nIndiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock, even though Mourdock

And the campaign has not asked Mourdock to take down a TV ad featuring Romney.<\/p>\n

A campaign spokeswoman said Wednesday that Romney disagrees with Mourdock’s opposition to abortion in cases of rape and incest.<\/p>\n

But she says Romney still supports Mourdock’s bid.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ATLANTA (AP) – Government health experts are advising pregnant
\nwoman to get a whooping cough vaccination.<\/p>\n

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices approved the recommendation today, only the second time a vaccine has been recommended during pregnancy.
\nThere have been more than 32,000 cases of whooping cough this year,
\nincluding 16 deaths.<\/p>\n

The resurgence has the nation on track for the worst year for whooping cough since the 1950s.
