HIGHS IN THE LOWER 40S.<\/p>\n<p>Update\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) &#8212; The Jamestown Highway Patrol reports, a two vehicle accidents Wednesday (Oct 31, 2012) just before 3-p.m., injured the drivers of both vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The report said a car operated by 22 year old Brittany Beeter, of Minot, was westbound on I-94 seven miles east of Jamestown, traveling behind a car driven by 31 year old Scott Mayer (city of residence not listed.)<\/p>\n<p>The Beeter car was moving to the left lane to pass Mayer, but struck Mayer\u2019s car in the right rear section.<\/p>\n<p>Mayer\u2019s vehicle ran off the roadway and entered the north ditch.<\/p>\n<p>Beeter\u2019s car went across the median, crossed the eastbound lanes of I-94, and went into the south ditch.<\/p>\n<p>Both Beeter, and Mayer were taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Assisting at the scene was the Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) &#8212; October saw a large increase in Jamestown airline boardings.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday\u2019s (Nov 1, 2012) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Jamestown Regional Airport Manager, Matthew Leitner said, the October 2012 Jamestown Great Lakes Airlines boarding were 261. That\u2019s compared to a usually slow September 2012 number of 171, and 525 boardings in September of 2011.<\/p>\n<p>All enplanes including arrivals in Jamestown in September this year were over 500.<\/p>\n<p>Leitner said the increase in Jamestown boardings is attributed to the integration of airline loyalty programs, and continue excellent &#8220;on-time,&#8221; record, and competitive fares.<\/p>\n<p>He added Great Lakes Airlines may implement a morning schedule change, however that has not officially been applied for yet by the airline.<\/p>\n<p>The change would move the 9: 15 a.m. departure from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., with the arrival moving from 9-a.m., to 9: 30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Leitner pointed out that the recent airlines delays, caused by hub airports in the east, due to superstorm Sandy, had no affect on Jamestown flights, and no delays occurred.<\/p>\n<p>Leitner reminded air travels to take advantage of travel agencies in Jamestown to book flights, as the travel agencies can also provide information concerning the city of destination.<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (KCSi-T.V. News) &#8212; The North Dakota Department of Human Services has announced the appointment of Jeff Stenseth as regional director of Southeast Human Service Center in Fargo and South Central Human Service Center in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Stenseth has served as the associate director of the Fargo human service center since 2007.<\/p>\n<p>His appointment follows the retirement of Candace Fuglesten.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Schweitzer, director of Field Services for the department, says, &#8220;Jeff brings compassion for people and a significant amount of experience in clinical leadership to his new role. He will be a great leader and will work hard on the continuation of quality services to the state\u2019s most vulnerable people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Stenseth has over 20 years of experience in the mental health and addiction treatment fields.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1998, he has held various positions at the Fargo human service center.<\/p>\n<p>Stenseth has a master\u2019s degree in counseling from Minnesota State University, a bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology from California State University, and an associate\u2019s degree in liberal studies from West Valley College in Saratoga, CA.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) &#8212; The Democratic Party endorsed U.S. Senate candidate, Heidi Heitkamp will join Senator, Kent Conrad in the &#8220;Bring It Home, Heidi!&#8221; Bus Tour.<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic Endorsed U.S. House of Representative candidate, Pam Gulleson will join the 30 city bus tour across North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>The tour bus will visit Valley City and Jamestown, as the five day campaign tour begins Thursday (Nov 1, 2012) and concludes Monday in Fargo.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday\u2019s rallies will be held at District 24 Democratic Headquarters in downtown Valley City at 3:45pm, followed by stopping at the Gladstone Inn &amp; Suites at 6-p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the North Dakota Republican Party\u2019s U.S. Senate candidate Rick Berg and Congressional candidate Kevin Cramer will also be making campaign swings through the state through Monday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A former North Dakota Republican chairman<br \/>\nsays a court decision isn&#8217;t likely to cause a burst of Election Day<br \/>\ncampaigning.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gary Emineth filed a federal lawsuit to challenge a North Dakota<br \/>\nlaw that bans campaigning on Election Day. On Wednesday a federal<br \/>\njudge blocked the law from being enforced.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Emineth says the ruling means he&#8217;ll leave up his campaign yard<br \/>\nsigns, and he&#8217;ll be doing some political advocacy on Election Day.<br \/>\nNormally that wouldn&#8217;t be legal.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 But Emineth doesn&#8217;t expect the ruling will bring about a lot of<br \/>\nElection Day campaigning during this election.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says he&#8217;ll now be asking the<br \/>\nLegislature to repeal the law that bans Election Day campaigning.<br \/>\nHe says instead, lawmakers could restrict campaigning near a<br \/>\npolling place.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0KILLDEER, N.D. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota has its first highway<br \/>\nroundabout near Killdeer.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dunn County Sheriff Don Rockvoy says the roundabout at the intersection of state highways 200 and 22 is working as designed.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 State transportation officials built the roundabout to better<br \/>\ncirculate the more than 8,000 vehicles that go through the busy oil<br \/>\npatch intersection daily.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota is on pace to eclipse last<br \/>\nyear&#8217;s road fatality total, and Highway Patrol troopers hope they<br \/>\ncan do something about it.<br \/>\n\u00a0There have been 134 fatalities on state roads so far this year, compared with 148 for all of last year.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Highway Patrol says in a statement that it is stepping up<br \/>\nenforcement from now until the end of the year. The effort involves<br \/>\ntroopers working overtime to increase visibility and safety as<br \/>\nwinter and holiday travel approaches.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The operator of Scheels Arena in Fargo has<br \/>\nfinalized a deal with creditors to slash the facility&#8217;s debt.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Metro Sports Foundation treasurer Bruce Furness says the arena&#8217;s debt from $23 million to $6.8 million. He says it was made possible by $8.5 million from a donor who has chosen to remain anonymous, banks agreeing to reduce their share of the debt and private lenders forgiving loans.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Furness says the arena&#8217;s creditors view it as an asset to the<br \/>\ncommunity and want to keep it from failing.<\/p>\n<p>Arena General Manager Jon Kram says the facility will turn a modest profit after the deal kicks in at the end of the year.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The nonprofit Metro Sports Foundation runs the arena owned by<br \/>\nthe Fargo Park District.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In world and national news&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0WASHINGTON (AP) &#8211; They&#8217;re the kind of numbers the Obama campaign<br \/>\nwill welcome in the final days of the battle for the White House.<br \/>\nFigures released today show that new unemployment claims are down,<br \/>\nworker productivity is up, auto sales and retail sales are rising,<br \/>\nand consumer confidence is at the highest level since a year before<br \/>\nPresident Barack Obama took office.<\/p>\n<p>The unemployment numbers for October will be released Tuesday.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ROANOKE, Va.
