Contact her at the mall at 251-2237 to register.<\/p>\n<p>For a $5 fee, the public is invited to taste all the soup entries and cast their vote for the best soup in Jamestown. The $5 fee includes one vote, additional votes are $1 each.<\/p>\n<p>Awards will be given in the categories of Best Soup, Most Dollars Raised, Best Decorated Booth, and Most Unique Soup.<\/p>\n<p>She added that there will be chili entries and perhaps some lefse.<\/p>\n<p>100% of the proceeds will be used to benefit home delivered meals.<\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with the soup cook off, RSVP+ will host a benefit bake sale for the program.<\/p>\n<p>Entertainment will be provided by R&amp;C School of Rock.<\/p>\n<p>Also on our show Rhonda Sahr from the James River Senior\/Community Center, said in 2014 the Home Delivered Meals program made 25,139 deliveries, and averaged 1,800 meals per month, with deliveries seven days a week.<\/p>\n<p>Call the center at 252-2882 to qualify, or if anyone wishes to volunteer to make deliveries.<\/p>\n<p>She pointed out that the Soup Spectacular is a large fundraiser for th Home Delivered meals program.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The University of Jamestown\u2019s 29th anniversary of Dine &amp; Bid will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Over 29 years, Dine &amp; Bid has raised over $1.4 million in support of student scholarships for the University.<\/p>\n<p>The event has been steadily growing in terms of attendance and dollars raised. Last year, the event welcomed over 340 guests and raised roughly $100,000. The event features live and silent benefit auctions and fine dining created by a regional executive chef.<\/p>\n<p>The University is accepting donations as well as items for the auction. They announced that with the funds they receive in the event, they are able to provide scholarships to almost 100% of their students. The team and fans planned to wear green in their memory at this weekend&#8217;s district tournament.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>HARVEY, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that displaced residents of an apartment building in Harvey.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The blaze began Thursday afternoon, and it took firefighters several hours to bring it under control. The building was destroyed.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It was not immediately known how many people lived in the building. Two nearby hotels offered free housing to those who were displaced.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Fargo police are asking for the public&#8217;s help in finding a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since Wednesday morning.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police say Lena Grace Deoliveira was last seen at her home in southwest Fargo at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Deoliveira is described as a five-foot-eight-inch white girl with brown eyes and brown hair. She is about 120 pounds.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Anyone with information of Deoliveira&#8217;s whereabouts should call Fargo police.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The attorney for the reigning North Dakota teacher of the year is petitioning a judge to release the medical records of the student with whom his client allegedly had sexual contact.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Defense attorney Robert Hoy says he can show that Aaron Knodel&#8217;s former student has a history of mental health issues and that her credibility could be in question.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Knodel is accused of having sexual contact with a 17-year-old female student more than five years ago. He has pleaded not guilty to five counts of felony corruption or solicitation of a minor. He could face up to 35 years in prison if convicted.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The prosecutor wants the information limited to what the student told a doctor about her and Knodel&#8217;s alleged relationship.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The North Dakota Board of Higher Education spent several hours listening to college presidents criticize a House budget bill and then adjourned before deciding whether to take a stand on the legislation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The board discussed a so-called position paper that would ask legislators to fund certain capital projects and allow the board to have the authority to set tuition and fees &#8220;as has been done for most of the past 100 years.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Some presidents told the board that the budget proposal would result in a high turnover of employees and substantial cuts to academic programs.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Board members had mixed feelings on a proposal to switch legal and audit services from the university system to other state agencies.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thursday&#8217;s meeting in Bismarck started at 2 p.m. and adjourned at 6:45.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The North Dakota attorney general&#8217;s office says the Lindahl Township Board of Supervisors violated the state&#8217;s open meetings laws by not posting any notice of a December meeting.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem (STEN&#8217;-juhm) says the board in Williams County admits it did not post any notice before its Dec. 8 meeting. The attorney general&#8217;s office says it doesn&#8217;t appear the board was trying to keep it a secret.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stenehjem says his office received a request for an opinion from Joel and Stephanie Vagts about the issue. (AP) &#8211; A TV news anchor from Fargo heard President Obama&#8217;s plans on expanding trade during a rare one-one-one interview at the White House.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Obama told Kirsten Kealy of WDAY-TV on Thursday that he believes his greatest accomplishment has been saving the economy and promoting exports. He said it&#8217;s helped to create 125,000 jobs in North Dakota and Minnesota and generated over $20 billion worth of exports.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Obama also mapped out his proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement to sell products to Japan, Australia and Vietnam.
