(AP) \u2013 The floodwater diversion outlets on the<br \/>\nwest and east ends of Devils Lake are being shut down for the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 State Water Commission engineer Bruce Engelhardt says, much colder temperatures are expected next week and officials don\u2019t want to take any chances with the weather damaging equipment.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Engelhardt says the two outlets took about a foot of water off<br \/>\nthe lake this year. The west-end outlet started operations for the<br \/>\nseason in April.
