This year, he did just that and it led to an arrest for multiple drug charges.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Other traffic safety awards presented during the Summit were <i>2015 Officer of the Year, 2015 Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Officer of the Year, Traffic Safety Honor Roll<\/i>, <i>Traffic Safety Media Award,<\/i> and recognition of those officers receiving Commemorative Coins. NDDOT Deputy Director for Driver and Vehicle Services, Mark Nelson, and Chief Justice Gerald VandeWalle of the North Dakota Supreme Court presented the winners with awards.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations can be submitted by any law enforcement personnel and are reviewed by a team at NDDOT.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on traffic safety efforts to reduce motor vehicle deaths and serious injuries in North Dakota, visit <span style=\"font-size: large;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.codefortheroad.com\/\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">www.codefortheroad.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: large;\">. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Bismarck\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0\u00a0 Over 150 representatives of law enforcement, transportation, engineering, public health and other agencies from across the state discussed traffic safety at the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) Annual Traffic Safety Partner Summit in Bismarck last week, sponsored by AAA North Dakota and Oxy Oil and Gas.\u00a0 The Summit provided an opportunity for traffic safety partners to hear about best practices in traffic safety and trends that are transforming transportation.<\/p>\n<p>The Summit also included an awards ceremony for those who show outstanding service and dedication to accomplish the overall goal of reducing crashes resulting in fatal and serious injuries in North Dakota.
