A GRADUAL WARMING TREND<br \/>\n\u00a0INTO THE LOWER 60S WEDNESDAY.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating an accident that occurred Wednesday about 11:30-p.m. about two miles west of Medina, that claimed the life of the lone occupant of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Damian Hoyt, reported that an individual was eastbound on I- 94 when the vehicle entered the median and rolled, coming to rest in the westbound driving lane on its top.<\/p>\n<p>The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The Sheriff\u2019s Department was assisted by the Jamestown Police Department, Jamestown Ambulance, and the Jamestown City Fire Department.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) exercise were held on Thursday morning at Jamestown High School.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown High is in the fifth year of the CERT program which is coming to a close with this final exercise.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately 97 students of the freshman class participated in the disaster exercise, with JHS Drama students acting as &#8220;victims,&#8221; in a mock bleacher collapse scenario in the gym, and required CERT students to act as responders.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s class is so large, that there were two separate exercises and graduation ceremonies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The 8th Annual Running of the Pink will be held on Saturday June 6, 2015, at 9-a.m., starting at ending R.M. Stoudt in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds to to help fund breast &amp; cervical cancer screenings through the local Women&#8217;s Way Resource Fund &amp; the Jamestown Regional Medical Center Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The event offers participants the opportunity to choose from a 5K Run\/Walk, and a 10K Run.<\/p>\n<p>Prizes will be awarded for the Largest Family, and Largest Business team participating.<\/p>\n<p>The Early Bird Registration is due by May 15th with a reduced fee.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, R.M. (AP) &#8211; Authorities have pulled a body from the Red River in downtown Fargo after three fishermen reported it.<br \/>\nThe \u00a0body was found near the First Avenue Bridge.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Personnel from the Fargo Fire Department, as well as emergency and rescue crews were dispatched to the scene.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Additional details were not immediately available Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0CANDO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Cando woman is dead after the pickup truck she was driving crashed into a slough.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Highway Patrol says the 20-year-old woman lost control of the pickup on a gravel road near the town about 12:15 a.m. Thursday, and it went into a ditch and came to rest on its roof in the slough.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The driver and three passengers were taken to a Cando medical center. (AP) &#8211; A 25-year-old man has been found guilty in a Jamaican lottery scam that authorities say cost victims around the country millions of dollars.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jurors in U.S. District Court in Bismarck reached their verdict Thursday morning in the case of Sanjay Williams, of Montego Bay, Jamaica. (AP) &#8211; The North Dakota Emergency Commission has approved increased spending for costs associated with battling grass fires in the Bismarck area last month.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The\u00a0 commission voted unanimously for the increased spending authority, with two members absent. (AP) &#8211; Blue ribbons are tied to utility poles and trees in a neighborhood of New York&#8217;s Long Island. Thousands of officers are expected to say goodbye at a wake for a slain New York City police officer, Brian Moore. Heavily armed officers are patrolling the streets around the funeral home, and officers with sniper rifles are stationed on rooftops of nearby businesses. Moore died Monday after being shot in the head while on duty. Police say he and his partner had stopped a man suspected of carrying a handgun, and the man opened fire.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) &#8211; University of Rhode Island campus police will start carrying guns beginning Friday, making it the final public university in the nation to arm its officers. The move to arm police came after a false alarm in 2013, when a panic was set off after some students in a lecture hall thought they heard someone say they had a gun. It took about five minutes for armed police from South Kingstown to arrive. No gun was found.
