Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown Rescue Squad and Jamestown Rural Fire Department\u00a0were called to Highway 20\u00a0 Mile Marker 6 about 10:20-a.m., Tuesday, to a tanker rollover resulting in a puncture of the tank which was leaking fuel.<\/p>\n

The tanker driver was removed from the vehicle, no official confirmation of that person\u2019s condition was immediately available.\u00a0 The highway was open to one lane southbound until the roadway is cleaned up and the vehicle removed and is posted.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0 rural fire figheters were on scene, and reports say the diesel spill was contained in a 100 foot area in the east ditch of the highway, and that Central Valley Health was being contacted concerning the hazardous waste.<\/p>\n

The one unit cab\/tanker was being uprighted for removal late Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

The spilled \u00a0fuel cleanup will be handled by outside agencies, later Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown Police reports charges are pending against two individuals,accused of robbing a Jamestown gas and convenience store early Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Superpumper employees along Highway 281 South in Jamestown called police at around 12:38 AM.<\/p>\n

The clerk reported a man wearing a bandana and heavy jacket entered the store, pushed past them and took an undisclosed amount of cash from a safe under the counter and fled out the back door of the store.<\/p>\n

No weapons were involved.<\/p>\n

After reviewing surveillance camera \u00a0footage with the manager authorities identified the suspect as a former employee, and analyzed the getaway vehicle.<\/p>\n

Police went to the apartment of former employee 26 year-old Josh Lamb and his roommate and former co-worker 23 year-old Mark Shannon and found the stolen cash and clothing matching the description of the alleged robber.<\/p>\n

Jamestown Police said \u00a0it was determined Lamb went into the store and took the money and Shannon drove the car, a\u00a02000 maroon Chevrolet Malibu.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both are being held in the Stutsman County Corrections Center awaiting formal charges.<\/p>\n

Dickinson\u00a0 (AP, Dickinson Press)\u00a0 Three people were injured including two Jamestown\u00a0 women, \u00a0in a two-vehicle head-on \u00a0accident Sunday afternoon 15 miles east of Dickinson on Interstate 94. \u00a0The North Dakota Highway Patrol, reports, an eastbound 2014 Nissan car, driven by 47 year old \u00a0Laurie Krebsbach,\u00a0 and\u00a0a \u00a0passenger 67 year old Shirley Aanderud, both of Jamestown, crossed a median and collided head-on with a 2006 Pontiac passenger car driven by34 year old \u00a0Cindy Sabrosky, of Dickinson. Both vehicles entered the north ditch, where they each came to a rest.<\/p>\n

Krebsbach and Aanderud were transported to CHI St. Joseph\u2019s Health in Dickinson. Sabrosky, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.<\/p>\n

The accident closed down I-94 for about 15 minutes. Dickinson and Richardton ambulance services and fire departments, the Stark County Sheriff\u2019s Office and Valley Med Life Flight also responded to the accident, which authorities say remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Jamestown (CSi) The Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office\u00a0continues its investigation into \u00a0an incident\u00a0early Sunday morning when a\u00a0Pingree woman drove a car into Pipestem Lake about 2-a.m..<\/p>\n

Deputy Sgt. Damian Hoyt\u00a0says\u00a0the LEC dispatch\u00a0was\u00a0notified by the OnStar service\u00a0concerning a vehicle that had gone into Pipestem Lake, off\u00a0 78th Avenue Southeast, between 30th and 31st Street Southeast.<\/p>\n

Hoyt says 19 year old\u00a0Taylor Uehran, of\u00a0Pingree, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze car north on 78th Avenue Southeast. \u00a020 year old Kelly Thomas, also of Pingree was a passenger in the car.<\/p>\n

Hoyt says Uehran took a wrong turn and drove into Pipestem Lake.<\/p>\n

The car went about 30 yards into the lake and was\u00a0motionless in the water at about 5 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n

Uehran activated the OnStar button on the car, prior to both getting out of the car, and then swimming \u00a0about an eighth mile across the lake.<\/p>\n

Hoyt says Uehran\u00a0 put her cellphone in her teeth to keep it dry, and called 9-1-1 while swimming.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

The car was removed Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Hoyt said Uehran was cited for driving while under the influence of alcohol and Thomas was cited for minor in possession of alcohol.<\/p>\n

The crash remains under investigation by the Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a one car rollover accident at 1:45 p.m. Friday on I 94 two miles east of Jamestown\u00a0caused over\u00a0$10,000in\u00a0damage, to a Honda Accord.<\/p>\n

The patrol says 21 year old \u00a0Nathan Agwata,\u00a0of \u00a0Minot, was driving\u00a0 westbound when a bird struck the windshield. The car then veered into the median and when Agwata attempted to return the car to the road, the car slid across the westbound lanes into the ditch, holding a shallow amount of water,\u00a0and rolled. The car came to rest on its wheels.<\/p>\n

The patrol said Aswata and passenger 20 year old 20 year old Sebstine Nyanumba,\u00a0also of Minot\u00a0\u00a0were wearing \u00a0seat belts. Nyanumba\u00a0sustained a minor hand cut.<\/p>\n

Damage was estimated at $10,000 to the Honda.<\/p>\n

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi) Benefits are scheduled for Shawn Durfee who was involved in a motorcycle-car accident in Jamestown that led to a below-the-knee amputation on his left leg.<\/p>\n

The Individual Motorcycle Club and Dennis Barton from the FM Crusaders Motorcycle Club have set up a benefit bike ride<\/strong> that will be held June 6, 2015<\/strong> and begins in Jamestown. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Corner Bar. The cost for the bike ride is $20 per driver and $10 for a passenger, and will begin at noon at the Corner Bar in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

The route will be to Courtenay, Glenfield, Hannaford, Dazey and Sanborn before returning to the Corner Bar in Jamestown. A hog roast, a pool tournament and a live and silent auction have also been planned for that day.<\/p>\n

On the afternoon of April 28, 2015, 40 year-old Shawn Durfee was struck by a car while driving his motorcycle on First Avenue North in Jamestown receiving extensive injuries to his left leg, wrist and thumbs.<\/p>\n

After treatment in Jamestown, he was airlifted to a Fargo hospital where he has undergone several surgeries and many more will be required.<\/p>\n

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – Police say two people have died in a shooting at a Wal-Mart store in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Officers responded to reports of gunshots shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday. Deputy Police Chief Mike Ferguson says officers discovered “multiple victims” inside the store, and that several of them were taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police did not immediately release any details on the shooter but did say that they do not believe there is any further risk to the general public.

\u00a0GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – A weekend standoff in Grand Forks prompted the evacuation of guests at a hotel.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police say the incident began Saturday morning when the suspect allegedly threatened a person with a gun during a fight in the parking lot of the America’s Best Value Inn.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The 49-year-old man then retreated to his hotel room and held police including a SWAT team at bay for about four hours. About a dozen other hotel guests were evacuated.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The man surrendered after authorities used a stun grenade. He was arrested on a terrorizing charge. Formal charges are pending.<\/p>\n

CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) – Authorities say a crop dusting plane crashed near a small eastern North Dakota airport after hitting a power line, injuring the pilot.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. Monday in a farm field about a mile south of Casselton Airport. The agency says the 70-year-old pilot was taken by ambulance to a hospital, but did not disclose the pilot’s condition.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The highway patrol says the plane was totaled. The crash is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stenehjem says people who get a call from someone claiming to be with his office and demanding they cooperate with a supposed Internal Revenue Service agent should hang up immediately.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stenehjem says the number on caller IDs might even appear that it is his office calling. He says that’s done through spoofing technology and is part of the scam.<\/p>\n

\u00a0WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) – A man accused of trying to pass himself off as an FBI agent in the North Dakota oil patch is facing a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sentencing for Steven Goldmann is scheduled Wednesday afternoon in Bismarck. He pleaded his case down to an illegal weapons charge after also being charged with four counts of impersonating an officer.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Investigators say Goldmann regularly displayed a gun, holster, mace and badge, and showed up one day at a Williston coffee shop with a passenger who was handcuffed. The scam allegedly netted Goldmann free coffee, a government rate at a hotel and dog treats for his bogus K-9 unit.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Goldmann had pleaded guilty to theft of services in Tennessee in 2013. Authorities say he conned several businesses out of money.<\/p>\n
