Jamestown (CSi) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Monday made changes in the releases at Jamestown and Pipestem Dams.<\/p>\n

Bob Martin at Pipestem says the release there has started, and is at 160 cfs.<\/p>\n

At Jamestown Dam the release was decreased from 300 cfs. to 125 CFS, for a combined release of 285 cfs.<\/p>\n

He says on Monday the flood storage area at Jamestown Dam was evacuated.<\/p>\n

He added that on Monday Pipestem Dam was 10 feet into the flood storage area.<\/p>\n

Pending any significant rain events, Pipestem would stay at that release until about September to evacuate the flood storage area.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi) The City of Jamestown\u00a0will \u00a0hold the Special ElectionOn June 2nd, 2015 to decide on a 1 percent city sales tax for the construction and operation of the first phase of the Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC). Timothy Alan Taxis is currently residing at\u00a0 420 14th Avenue, Northwest, Jamestown, ND<\/p>\n

He formerly live at the Frontier Fort Campground, 1838 3rd Avenue, Southeast, Jamestown, ND\u00a0<\/p>\n

Taxis is a 51 year old white male, 5-feet 6 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds with hazel eyes, and blonde hair.<\/p>\n

His vehicles now include;<\/p>\n

White\/tan 1976 Dodge Motorhome- ND Temporary sticker<\/p>\n

He also drives a 1985 black Dodge Ram 2 door pickup, with ND license plate: GEA 590.<\/p>\n

Another vehicle is a gray 1997 Buick LaSabre, ND Lic GRN442.<\/p>\n

He was convicted in Stutsman County Court in July of 2001 of indecent exposure, involving two 11 year old girls in a park, and then following them in a vehicle.<\/p>\n

He was convicted of gross sexual imposition on three occasions in one week, involving exposing himself to young girls in the area of a tennis court. On one of those occasions he forced an 11 year old girl to perform a sexual act on him.<\/p>\n

The conviction date in Stutsman County District Court, was in May 1994, with the disposition of 7 years, with 3 years and 6 months suspended.<\/p>\n

The City Council passed a Resolution to recognize the University of Jamestown Booster Club as an other public spirited organization and to authorize the issuance of a Raffle Permit on October 10, 2015.<\/p>\n

Approved a Resolution to approve the payment to Artekta, Inc., for engineering services on Jamestown Civic Center Seating Replacement Project, in the amount of $353.09.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi) City Engineer Reed Schwartzkopf has announced that the city has received the final comments from the Federal Highway Administration on the Land Use & Transportation Plan.<\/p>\n

Schwartzkopf says , there is no substantial changes indicated from the previous version and he will be waiting to send out the final draft until June 12th.<\/p>\n

The City Council is scheduled to discuss the plan during their July 6th regular meeting.<\/p>\n

Once the city has reviewed and discussed the plan, the City Engineering Department will conduct open house meetings to allow the public to discuss and review the city\u2019s 1- and 5-year Transportation Improvement Plan.<\/p>\n

\u00a0WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) – West Fargo police have identified a man and woman found dead in an apparent murder-suicide.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say 44-year-old Lance Rick and his wife, 44-year-old Sharon Rick, were found dead early Sunday at a home in West Fargo. Police say the Ricks were married but had been separated.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police say the female victim appeared to have suffered two gunshot wounds, one to the body, one to the head. Police say the man appeared to have one gunshot wound to the head.

\u00a0FAIRMOUNT, N.D. (AP) – Authorities say two men have been killed in a rollover crash in Richland County, near the South Dakota border.
\n\u00a0
\nIt happened Sunday on a county road, nine miles southwest of Fairmount.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Highway Patrol says both men, 33 year old Dustin Krause of Wahpeton,\u00a0and 37 year old Ryan Ginsbach of Lidgerwood, \u00a0were ejected from a car when it landed on its top in a drainage ditch. Troopers say the bodies were swept away by the current.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The patrol says\u00a0\u00a0one occupant was ejected and located approximately 1\/2 mile north of the vehicle. Several hours after the crash, the second occupant was located a mile north of the crash scene.<\/p>\n

At this time, it is unknown who was operating the vehicle when it crashed. Both occupants were transported to the medical examiner’s office for autopsy.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. \u2013 The State Board of Animal Health has lifted quarantines that have been in place in Dickey and LaMoure counties since the confirmation of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5 in poultry flocks there in April. The quarantines restricted the movement of poultry and poultry products in the control zones, 6-mile radius around the infected premises.<\/p>\n

Teams comprised of staff from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture\u2019s Animal Health Division, the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Veterinary Services and local extension offices visited multiple locations in the quarantined areas and tested samples from birds at 20 premises.<\/p>\n

After two negative rounds of avian influenza testing, the quarantines have been lifted and movement of poultry and poultry products is no longer restricted in the control zones. The two originally infected premises remain quarantined until the cleanup process is complete.<\/p>\n

Statewide bird movement to shows, exhibitions and public sales is still halted until further notice.<\/p>\n

North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said, \u201cthe virus is a serious threat to the livelihood of poultry farmers and the poultry industry as a whole. We sympathize with other states that have been dealing with this on a much larger scale.\u201d<\/p>\n

North Dakota has had two cases of HPAI H5N2 in Dickey and LaMoure counties, affecting well over 100,000 birds combined. In the U.S., over 47 million birds have been affected in approximately 20 states. No human infections with the viruses have been detected in the U.S. and birds from infected flocks do not enter the food system.<\/p>\n

Poultry owners should continue to immediately report death loss to their local and state veterinarian, restrict access to their property, prevent contact between their birds and wild birds and practice enhanced bio-security.<\/p>\n

\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Diesel sales have started at a new oil refinery in western North Dakota.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bismarck-based MDU Resources Group and Indianapolis-based Calumet Specialty Products Partners built the $430 million Dakota Prairie Refinery near Dickinson.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Officials said Monday that some diesel was sold last month. But they say June is expected to be the first full month of production at 20,000 barrels per day. A barrel is 42 gallons.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Crews broke ground on the refinery in March 2013.

\u3000\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Supreme Court says a man who was kicked out of a Grand Forks curling club should be allowed to sue the club in an attempt to retain his membership.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 C.T. Marhula filed an appeal with the state’s highest court after a district judge dismissed the suit. Marhula’s lawyer, David Thompson, argued that the club did not meet the state’s requirements for terminating membership in a nonprofit corporation.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thompson believes the ruling could help ensure the rights of all members of nonprofits in North Dakota.

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Senate’s majority leader is outlining his strategy for re-authorizing some government surveillance programs that have now been allowed to expire. Mitch McConnell says he will look to add three amendments to a measure passed by the House. As it stands now, that bill would end the National Security Agency’s bulk collection of phone records after a six-month transition, but it would allow the agency to search the records held by phone companies. One proposed amendment would extend the transition time to 12 months.

And a person familiar with the allegations says the payments were intended to conceal claims that Hastert had sexually molested someone decades ago.
