The work will continue until repairs are completed.<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Please follow DETOUR signage.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists&#8217; should use alternative routes &amp;<b> use EXTREME caution in and around this area..<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Fire Department responded to a garage fire at 10:57 a.m., Wednesday at 113 5<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue, Southeast.<\/p>\n<p>The fire was declared out at 11:07 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>City Fire Lt. Sheldon Mohr says minimal fire damage was sustained, and no other structures were involved, with the cause listed as \u2018juvenile fire play.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>No injuries reported with 24 fire fighters, and four city fire units on the scene a half hour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) An investigation into the theft of property in Jamestown storage unit break-ins has netted the arrest of four individuals, charged with burglary and theft of property.<\/p>\n<p>Charges were filed May 28, 2015, in Southeast District Court in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown police Detective Leroy Gross said most of the items taken from the Jamestown storage unit break-ins between August 2014 and April 2015, were recovered in Crow Wing, Morrison and Cass counties in Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>One of the individuals, 38 year old Casey Allan Tice, is facing 25 charges filed May 28, 2015, in Southeast District Court in Jamestown. Tice is charged with 22 counts of burglary, Class C felonies, and three counts of theft of property, with one being a Class B felony, one a Class C felony and one a Class B misdemeanor.<\/p>\n<p>30 year old Cassie Hatch, was charged with three counts of burglary, Class C felonies, and theft of property, a Class B misdemeanor.<\/p>\n<p>26 year old Barrett Hieb, was charged with burglary and theft of property, Class C felonies, and theft of property, a Class B misdemeanor.<\/p>\n<p>Tice is currently housed in the Crow Wing County Jail in Minnesota. Hatch and Hieb are free on bond.<\/p>\n<p>28 year old William Billingsley, pleaded guilty on May 28 to theft of property, a Class B misdemeanor. He is serving 30 days in the Stutsman County Correctional Center.<\/p>\n<p>Tice allegedly broke into 25 storage units around Jamestown between August 2014 and April. He allegedly received help from Hatch, Hieb and Billingsley at different times during the break-ins.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum penalty for a Class B felony is 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. The maximum penalty for a Class C felony is five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The maximum penalty for a Class B misdemeanor is 30 days in jail and a $1,500 fine.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown Police, and the Stutsman County Sheriff&#8217;s Office received help from law enforcement agencies in the Minnesota counties and the St. Cloud, Minn., and Brainerd, Minnesota., police departments.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities were able to find Tice through information provided by the community, and helped locate items stolen from Jamestown in Brainerd, which led to finding Tice in Crow Wing County.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation is continuing into unsolved cases, and additional charges may be filed.<\/p>\n<p>If anyone has had items taken from his or her storage unit over the last year, contact Gross at 252-2414 or Falk at 251-6200 to come in the Stutsman County Law Enforcement Center and look at the unclaimed stolen property.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC) Board of Directors has set two Public Input Forums, to give the final details for the interior design of the Two Rivers Activity Center.<\/p>\n<p>The public forums. June 23, 2015 and July 8, 2015 at 7-p.m.,locations to be decided later.<\/p>\n<p>At the Forums, will be Zerr Berg Architects, Principal Architect Brian Berg.<\/p>\n<p>The next five to six weeks will be spent reviewing the basic plan and developing a schematic design, which includes conceptual plans and floor plans for the project but not detailed designs or specifications.<\/p>\n<p>Possible public input may be included in the schematic design. After review and approval from the TRAC Board and Jamestown Parks and Recreation Commission, the architect and engineers would move on to the design development stage where more detailed plans are developed by the beginning of September.<\/p>\n<p>The architect would then develop construction documents through the winter with the project going for bids in January 2016 and construction starting in May 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The TRAC Board and Jamestown Parks and Recreation will choose a three- or four-person building committee to meet with the architect every two weeks during the planning process.<\/p>\n<p>Zerr Berg Architects will also assist Parks and Recreation in developing the interview process to select an engineering firm to assist in the management of the construction project.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown voters approved a 1 percent sales tax to pay for construction of TRAC on June 2. The $28.6 million facility will serve as a community and activity center. TRAC will include basketball courts, weight rooms, an exercise track, pool and water features and an indoor turf field under a dome.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown\/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) CEO, Connie Ova says, work at the CHS fertilizer plant at the Spiritwood Energy Park is now including pilings being installed by Bechtel Corporation, that will also be involved in construction of the crew camp near the construction site.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Ms. Ova said options on providing the plant with water are still being weighed.<\/p>\n<p>She pointed out that a trans-loading business will assist in off-loading construction supplies, adding that a re-bar business, that will supply construction material at the site, may be interested in locating in the park.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Ova added that the JSDC Board approved transferring administration of three lots in the I-94 Business Park to the city of Jamestown for sale to Magnum, which is planning to construct a freight terminal on the property with the project work starting later this summer.<\/p>\n<p>The JDSC Board also approved transferring the remaining four lots in the I-94 Business Park to city control for possible future sale.<\/p>\n<p>She added that the JSDC Board of Directors has approved a 5 percent increase in operating expenses. The budget for 2016 is now set at $457,000 compared to $436,000 for this year.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Ova said, new employees will have health insurance packages that will add to the budget.<\/p>\n<p>The increase includes 5 percent increases in salary and benefit expenses and preserves the marketing budget at $35,000. The recruiting budget, which is used to attract new workers to the Jamestown area, was reduced from $34,000 to $30,000.<\/p>\n<p>The JSDC budget will now move to the Jamestown City Council and Stutsman County Commission for final approval.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile Stutsman Rural Water District is continuing plans for a water reuse plant to provide industrial water to the planned $3 billion CHS nitrogen fertilizer plant at Spiritwood, at a site to be determined.<\/p>\n<p>One building would process greywater from Cargill Malt, Dakota Spirit AgEnergy and Spiritwood Station before mixing it with water from the Spiritwood and Jamestown aquifers and filtering the combined water.<\/p>\n<p>The water would then move to the second building, a plant operated by CHS, which would then purify the water to meet its needs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) Friends of the James River Valley Library System have announced the next series of presentations of Adult Programs<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Bill Kennedy said all programs are at the Alfred Dickey Public Library in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>They include\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Dina Laskowski, with &#8220;A Picture is Worth a Thousand WORLDS.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dina, a Professor of Education at the University of Jamestown, will utilize her teaching and life experience, to illustrate how each of us can tell a story through the use of images preserved through photography. (AP) &#8211; The State Highway Patrol has released the identity of the 85-year-old man who died after his pickup truck collided with a semi on U.S. Highway 2 near Devils Lake. The Highway Patrol on Wednesday identified the man as Larry Lindberg of Perth, North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>MINOT, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Minot woman accused of strangling her 3-month-old daughter is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation this week.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 45-year-old Pauline Stewart is being evaluated at the State Hospital in Jamestown. Defense attorney Robert Martin requested the evaluation earlier.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stewart was arrested March 17 after a traffic stop in McLean County during which questions arose about the welfare of her baby. Police went to the apartment where she lived with her husband and found the girl&#8217;s body.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stewart faces a murder charge that carries a maximum punishment of life in prison with no parole. A pretrial conference is scheduled July 1.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Minnesota man has been charged in federal court in connection with a Fargo bank robbery.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say Jeremy Fahleen, of Litchfield, Minnesota, entered the Gate City Bank on the south side of Fargo on April 25 and handed a clerk a threatening note demanding money. Fahleen fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was arrested the next day in St. Cloud, Minnesota.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Fahleen pleaded not guilty earlier this week to bank robbery and aiding and abetting. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota&#8217;s attorney general says a convicted felon operating an unlicensed construction business has been banned from doing work in the state.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem issued cease and desist order Wednesday against Bismarck resident Mark Carlson, doing business as Perfection Construction.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The state&#8217;s Consumer Protection Division initiated an investigation into Carlson&#8217;s business after getting a complaint from a consumer saying the contractor didn&#8217;t finish work on a building&#8217;s foundation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stenehjem says Carlson received a $15,000 advance payment for the job, but only moved some dirt at the site and didn&#8217;t do anything else to lay the building&#8217;s foundation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Parrell Grossman is the division&#8217;s director. (AP) &#8211; Mandan police say a drug overdose was the cause of death for a man whose body was found in a residential bay. The body of 30-year-old Justin Gerou of Bismarck was discovered in the water on May 13th. No foul play is suspected in his death.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Attorneys for a former North Dakota teacher of year accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student in 2009 say there&#8217;s no reason to delay a second trial.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The first trial for West Fargo High School teacher Aaron Knodel ended abruptly in April following one juror&#8217;s medical emergency while they were deliberating. A judge last week threw out three charges against Knodel but said he could be retried on the two remaining counts of felony corruption or solicitation of a minor.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prosecutors last week asked for the delay because they say the June 23 date is an &#8220;unrealistic and unfair&#8221; time frame. The other option being considered was west of the former Mandan Hospital.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The decision came Wednesday, a day after city residents approved a ballot measure creating a three-fourths percent sales tax to fund the project.
