Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Police Department wants to warn Jamestown residents that a convicted sex offender has changed his address in the City of Jamestown.<\/p>\n

37 year old Larry Gant resides now resides at 112 Sunnyside Trailer Court, in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

He previously lived at 223 First Avenue South Apt #4 in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

He presently has no vehicle.<\/p>\n

Gant is a black male 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 177 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.<\/p>\n

He has been assigned at high risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee, of the office of the North Dakota Attorney General.<\/p>\n

Offense:<\/p>\n

Gant and two other individuals entered a residence through a bedroom window. They raped a developmentally disabled teenager who was sleeping in the bedroom<\/p>\n

Conviction Date: February 11, 2003 at Shelby County District Court, in Tennessee. Disposition: 8 years.<\/p>\n

Gant is currently on probation with North Dakota Parole and probation.<\/p>\n

Gant is not wanted by police at this time, and is currently serving the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety, and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders, or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown will host the Fallen Heroes Memorial and Honor Ride June 19, 20, 2015, in conjuction with the North Dakota Patriot Guard.<\/p>\n

The Patriot Guard was put together to protect soldiers killed in action that are returned home.<\/p>\n

The parents and families of the three fallen soldiers from Jamestown will be in attendance, along with U.S. Senator, John Hoeven.<\/p>\n

Updated information was given on Monday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable with Ride Captain, George Quigley, and Michel Grotrian.<\/p>\n

George pointed out that on:<\/p>\n

On Friday June 19th<\/sup>\u2026<\/p>\n

Civic Center doors open at 5-p.m., of the Social Hour. Admission is free, with the exception of the steak fry.<\/p>\n

300 and 500 Patriot Guard members are expected in Jamestown for the weekend\u2019s event and ride.<\/p>\n

Steak Fry at 6-p.m., with a chance to win $2,500 in Cash Prizes, tickets $20.<\/p>\n

In addition to the honor ride, on June 19, 2015 a statue dedicated to fallen Jamestown, and Montpelier heroes will be dedicated,\u00a0on the steps in front of the Civic Center’s main entrance. The time is set for 7:15-p.m. U.S. Senator, John Hoeven is scheduled to speak at 7:30-p.m.<\/p>\n

The Rev. Joseph Barrett, assistant pastor at St. James Basilica, will open the ceremony with a blessing.<\/p>\n

The parents and families of the three fallen soldiers from Jamestown will be in attendance.\u00a0\u00a0 At the base of the statue will be plaques honoring three military members who died while serving in combat: Army Spc. Paul Beyer and North Dakota Army National Guard Spc. Phillip Brown, Jamestown, and Army Reserve Maj. Alan Johnson, originally from Montpelier.<\/p>\n

Quigley said \u00a0each man\u2019s plaque will include his name, rank, the branch of service he was in and a picture. The statue will be placed in the middle of the square landing on the west side of the Civic Center.<\/p>\n

The statue is provided by Duane Sand of the U.S. Navy, whose goal is to have a statute dedicated to fallen heroes in each major North Dakota. A stature was recently installed in Carrington.<\/p>\n

Also on our show, Michel Grotrian. added that there will be a silent auction through the two days, plus a cash raffle Friday evening.<\/p>\n

Valley City (CSi) A reminder, the Barnes County Relay for Life will be held Friday night on the south side of the courthouse in Valley City, with the goal to raise $32,000 this year. Last year the event raised more than $28,000 in Barnes County.<\/p>\n

Another event sponsored by Stoudt Ross Ford and Ford Motor Company called “Drive 4 UR Community” will attempt to raise $6,000 to benefit the Barnes County Relay for Life.
\nFord Motor Company will donate $20 per test drive to the local American Cancer Society chapter.<\/p>\n

The test drive event will be on the east side of Veterans Park in Valley City from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, June 20, 2015.<\/p>\n
